oh Ledley, Ledley what could have been. If he had remained injury free would he have turned into the legend that he has become? That game against France at Euro 2004 where he kept Henry quiet.

Was there anyone more aptly named!!! We all remember how gutted we were when the traitor left us and we never thought we would plug the gap. Then along came Ledley, who turned out to be the best defender in Europe, if not the world, and that's with a dodgy knee!!! He was that good, that he made anyone who played alongside him raise their game to another level. Well deserves the Legend tag.

He was one of those players who even if the game wasn't that exciting or we didn't get the result we wanted, I still enjoyed watching his performance and took something pleasurable out of the game.
Rare for a defender.
