Didn't Preston win the double before us? Look where they are now.
Yeah, but you can't compare us with the likes of all the other ex Premier League clubs who have ended up in the Championship and League 1 & 2 due to poor board management and ownership because it actually makes ENIC's/Levy running of our club look pretty good....

I equate the enic in vs enic out movements to the brexit debates. People from both sides just hurling either direct abuse or passive aggressive or sarcastic insults at each other all day every day.

It's boring as fuck so why don't the whole fucking lot of you shut the fuck up and wind your necks in. And that is aimed at people on both sides of the argument.

Literally just reading the same fucking crap from the same fucking people every motherfucking day. Nobody that entrenched in their views is having their minds changed by being insulted. It's like telling an angry person to just 'calm down'. It won't work and will 9/10 times backfire.

Not meaning to be picking on you as an individual but this post is a prime example of what needs to stop.

You can all consider yourselves TOLD.

I liken it to someone who has a low paying job, lives in a wee flat and drives a shit car. He then gets a promotion and doubles his money. He doesn’t go straight out and buy a castle and a sports car. He stays where he is for a bit, then upgrades to a semi detached and a decent saloon. Then when he’s done this for a while, he buys a large detached home and a 4x4. Again, another period passes and he eventually gets his castle and Ferrari.
Meanwhile his family has been going hungry (to win something) and been working really hard for him (by paying some very expensive tickets) but..instead of feeding them properly, he throws scraps at them ..sometimes. Some of his family are getting fed up and demand there should be another head of household and that the wife should get a new sexy Qatari husband, but there are others who believe this man might be god and worship his every step and just so happy with the scraps he shits out for them.

You’ve taken that too far….

Be careful what you wish for.

NETFLIX series Gunther's Millions unpacks the incredible story of Gunther the dog and the crazy lifestyle lived in its name.
Part of which included the dog buying an Italian football team and hiring porn stars to the club board.

The four-part series tells the tale of Gunther VI, the world's richest dog with a net worth of £300million and heir to a mysterious fortune.
Gunther is from a long line of filthy rich German Shepherds.
However, the money is actually controlled by Italian entrepreneur and pharmaceutical heir Maurizio Mian, who used some of it to buy a football club and hire porn stars to the board.
The 66-year-old eccentric is CEO of media company The Gunther Corporation, and Gunther's guardian.

The company uses Gunther the dog as a figurehead for its investments.

In 2002 the Gunther Reform Trust bought Italian side Pisa, who were in the third-tier of Italian football at the time.

And dog Gunther IV was duly named honorary club president.

Despite being a pooch, fans of rival team Livorno once unfurled a banner targeted at Gunther that read "Poisoned meatballs for Gunther", according to Goal.

Three years later the company sold the club, but the crazy story does not end there.

Mian's Gunther Corporation then bought a controlling interest in another lower league Italian side, U.S. Citta di Pontedera.

It was there that famous porn star Ilona Staller was appointed club 'godmother', while fellow porn star Valentine Demy was named club president.

Italian journalist Massimo Marini commented, via Salon, that the choice to hire porn stars for the football club: "represents a common thread in Maurizio's life."

Marini added: "He's always wanted to impress and amaze, to draw attention, even knowing such things would create problems and lead to serious missteps."

And, from my ‘side’, I’d have absolutely no problem eating all my words if we suddenly are showered in success. I have zero interest in winning arguments on the internet; I just want to see us win.

My hope from the City kerfuffle is that maybe, just maybe, we really are entering a period of football where spending is genuinely tied to revenue (valid revenue too, not inflated nonsense). But it’s certainly not an expectation.
Cranston Cranston Pretty sure you've just got yourself a ban mate. Those are the rules and you better start "Owning people" Not in a weird wrong Jango way (although there were good people on bothsides I understand)..online where it matters!!!

So, if profit is £112 million, I’m assuming our Summer transfer budget will be around 60/70 million as you can immediately take the Porro fee out of that.

This should put everyone’s mind at rest who are worried about the owner’s main focus:

On off the pitch matters, he added: "We are strongly positioned to utilise the stadium to its full potential. This includes the development of Visitor Attractions (Stadium Tours and The Dare Skywalk and Edge), Conferencing & Events and Third Party Events.

"It has been encouraging to return to normality, with the stadium busier than ever, full of fans and also visitors from around the world, home to football once again along with a variety of events, from boxing and rugby to welcoming the NFL back and becoming part of the global touring concert scene.

"We are delighted that we have been able to secure priority ticket windows for third party events for Club members – an added benefit that has been hugely popular, particularly for high profile concerts such as Beyoncé and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

"All of these activities create diversified sources of funding to invest in our principal core activity, football.
