Personally I would have picked Lloris and played Adebayor behind Defoe in the same formation. Other than that I really don't see what AVB was to supposed to do differently. Kaboul, BAE and Dembele give us more energy and drive going forward. Missing those players mean playing a situation of "best fit."

Like it or not we are in a transitional period and what we are seeing right now is nowhere near the finished article that AVB will want to put out

I just hope we can ride out the storm until we get everyone back and fit.

The storm being, all the games we need to play without important members of the first team, and the backlash from the fans who knew we'd win if we did it their way...apparently.

Unfortunately we're short on player who would have helped in the midfield battle and provided a threat up front. In Dempsey and Sigg we've got two players who are supposed to be able, but... :wall:

The major issue I had with the game was that it didn't feel like I was watching Spurs.

Sticking on five fucking defenders & trying to desperately cling on to a one-goal cushion/draw is the very antithesis of "TO DARE IS TO DO"

Honestly though, did anyone expect anything other than a loss?
They haven't lost a home game for 2 years, bring on Woolwich
Expected some pride. Expected us to have a go. Expected us to play with the intensity they did. Expected some attacking prowess.

Didn't necessarily expect to win. But with a bit more effort and tactical flexibility, we could have.

That's some braveheart shit. Anyway, we just need to hold on until January. We've played all the top sides, away too, and without our main playmaker, main CB, main LB injured and our main Striker just starting his first game, it's not all doom and gloom.

It can only get better, they have to come back sooner or later.

I honestly would love AVB to be a success, but he scares the shit out of me with his decisions. I'm just bored being in the same "it'll be great soon" whirlpool.

I didn't say everything has to be rampantly positive, but there's no need to come on here and criticise people for trying to be positive. Fuck it, take your own advise, if people are too positive I'm sure you know where the ignore button is.
I'm not really criticising people for being positive. I'm criticising people for telling others not to be negative. I have a problem with people who have a pop at others because they disagree with them and it gets childish as fuck. If I want to wallow in self pity after a bad result, support me, don't tell me I'm fucking wrong. If you want to see the positives, it might take me a bit longer, but eventually, I'll congratulate you on that.

I just don't see the need for us all to agree on a public forum. Sort of defeats the purpose.
