He moved his foot up after he slipped. You shouldn't have to cripple a player to get a red. It wasn't malicious, but the sheer act of raising studs can end a players career. That's why it's a red.
It's a very, very soft red that could just as easily have been a case that a red wasn't enough.
YEAH!His tackle is nothing. I actually don’t think it’s a yellow either. It’s a foul and that’s it. I grew up in the 80s and played football when you got a hit and gave it out and never bothered. The game is so soft now.
OK well you're a dinosaur. Congratulations. Welcome to the Jurassic.I grew up in the 80s and played football when you got a hit and gave it out and never bothered.
Is a little silly. Not attention seeking at all. Couldn’t blame anyone but himself if he was searching for his teeth minutes later.
Sorry to chime in on this, as it is clear that views are very split - but you can’t say because he slipped it means it wasn’t his intention to catch him studs up. You can’t know what his intention was either way. Might’ve been worse if he kept his feet… we will never know. But we cant conclusively say that the only reason it was high/studs up was because he slipped. What we do know is that slipping caused him to be out of control, which in itself constitutes the meeting of another red criteria. Watching real time, I didn’t see it as a red. Watching replay I thought it was soft and would feel aggrieved if it were the other way around. Watching objectively I thought that, by the letter of the law, it was enough to be a red.Again we're going round in circles though, the reason his studs were up was because he slipped hence why I said the challenge needs context - if he sipped it means that his intention wasn't to catch him with studs, it was merely to stop him progressing.
Did you see the size of his fucking head?!

When you can't even get in the Bayern team ahead of Eric Dier, you should have been warned.
I agree with the first part of this.He slipped, but he still lunged at Maddison, knowing he was nowhere near the ball. I think he wanted to bring him down, he just wasn't trying to do it in a "red" type way, more of a trip way.
it was not a red. Should have been reduced to a yellow by VAR. But I've seen that cunt get away with so many snidey fucking fouls (yellow/red/dives) that I've got zero sympathy for the wankhorn.
In fairness he looks hoovered enough to not remember getting his teeth Knocked out.Not attention seeking at all. Couldn’t blame anyone but himself if he was searching for his teeth minutes later.
