Massively so I see the Redknapp era being played out again and seemingly most of the supporter base going along with it. It is a decade since we last won something and for a club of our history that is unacceptable. We won more in the horror show that was the ‘90s than we have in this decade despite having two fantastic sides in that time. How can anyone not be pissed off by that? It drives me crazy that an inferior Woolwich side can win 3 FA cups in the last 4 years, that a mediocre United side can win a UEFA Cup, league cup and FA cup in that time. And virtually nothing is really said about this, all I hear is about this glorious future that we going to have which I have been hearing for 14 years now ever since we started this ‘project’. This current team is the realisation of what he were told on 2004 and yet it’s still next season, or we we have greater expectations that the trophies that have defined this club. I simply hate how we have moved on from silverware to being obsessed by status.

Surely you are honest enough concur that the Reknapp exit debacle and the subsequent AVB/Sherwood nightmare set us waaaay back in terms of our goals/progression.

The number one reason why i rate Poch so highly us how quickly he perfomed mass surgery on a club that was one stop away from the toxic mess of a dressing room up the road. (As per your earlier dismissal off this point, Redknapp didnt perform a major squad overhaul using academy players as a catalyst, nor did he face the likes of Ade, Kaboul and co trying to undermine his efforts when he arrived...).

Poch has EARNED my (and it would seem Levy's) gratitude, respect and patience....

It's a genuine shame you feel differently..... Especially if you love this club as you claim.

Btw, do you still insist that 'his' book will wreck our season?

....In fact, weren't you also the guy here insisting that you were ITK and that the players were set to mutiny over said book? ( ....If this last para is mistaken identity then, Sorry, my bad.)

If it is so unacceptable, what are you, and what can you do about it? How are you going to show the club how unacceptable their behaviour is?

Go to the ground and boo? Levy out banners? Make a youtube spursfantv? Stop watching free streams?

It’s frustrating rather than unacceptable.

We’re close to going through a decade without a trophy for the first time since the 1940’s, so this is a significant lull. It’s also been our most successful team in the league since the 1960’s, so it’s complicated. I can understand the conflicting views.

Well that would be on Levy if you’re looking to blame someone. Except you can’t really blame him because he’s working within his means, and delivering above and beyond. Things like the training ground and new stadium will ultimately count as greater moments in the history of our club than one or two trophies.

I’m also frustrated about the lack of trophies, but there are so many factors to consider. Oil money, luck, injuries, all sorts of things.

Exactly.... It's not like anyone is outright claiming an FA Cup isnt desirable from a pure fandom perspective....

Just that most us allegedly docile, PR-blinded idiots (sic) are prepared to appreciate the landscape beyond the pitch and accept they must look past the over-simplified notion that we are currently a damn good team that have yet to win a trophy.

If people can't see the progress, allbeit without the trophies then it will be difficult for them. The semi against Chelsea knocked me back for weeks. But what can you do?

There is no denying our improvement and we are getting closer. But there are no guarantees.

This.

Yeah but we've still only averaged less than 1 per decade since the early 80s...

Perspective is key so tbh I cannot understand the conflicted views.... How did some become so entitled???

Leave that shit to muggy fans like Liverpool and Newcastle imo (by converse sentiment; Villa & Leads also say "hi").

...I'd understand more if it was members of the fanbasst that were actually there when we ran shit in the 60s, but generally (and specific to the thread) it isn't.

Yep. We’re currently the best team left in the FA Cup by my reckoning, but anything could happen. A resurgent Swansea, United get an early goal and park the bus, the Chavs get in a manager with a clue.

More often than not the teams that win trophies are the ones that spend the most money and can consistently reach finals. Even then, they won’t win them all, but it becomes a numbers game.

Finish in the top 3 for years in a row and we’ll probably finish first eventually. Keep getting to semi-finals and we’ll eventually win a final. We’re looking at a very narrow window with this current Spurs team, and we’ve already been in a final and semi-final.

Sevilla who revenues are a fraction of ours m have won 5 UEFA cups in the last 12 years whilst we have managed only 2 quarters largely because we couldn’t be bothered. Shameless gooner cunt - piss off

I have to say that if we got to the European Cup final and played someone like City or FCB, then stank the place out for 89 minutes, with Harry scoring in the 90th from a "creatively earned" penalty from Dele Alli, arcs of jizz would spurt from me with a force not seen of late in Madrid Mansions.

Level of contradictions across your posts makes for you to be one hell of a confused fella. One minute you are banging on about being far from elite club, unable to compete, the next these elite clubs are mediocre and because of it we have underperformed. Make your mind up pal. Absolutely no issues with you having an option on something but please, lock yourself into a phone-box for a day or so, have an argument with yourself and work out exactly where you stand, think you will not be seen as such a troll if you can do this. Let it all out mate.
