Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The only one he's had so far this season. Odd.

SAF/MU only ever had 2 seasons in the PL without winning a trophy - 2001/02 and 2004/05. Every other season he won at least one cup.

Interesting that he finished 3rd times inclusive and between those season, and the 04/05 season was the 2nd in a row. If it were City or Chelsea, they'd have been paying him off by that point.
Out of curiosity, does 'winning a trophy' include the Charity Shield in that stat?

Well, we only played 2 league games in March. So they gave it to Eddie Howe who managed in 3, won 2 and drew 1.

I think April was probably the only month where Pochettino fully deserved the award. Winning run was excellent.
The thing I hate about it is it never takes into account of the opposition. Guardiola playing a run of games against teams in the relegation zone and winning them all. It's all seems to depend on the run of games.

And it's an attacking player's game considering most people just look at who scored the most goals and pick that guy.

We scored 16 goals, yes, but we also only conceded 1 in April. Vertonghen was nominated but didn't get it - yet I'd say he was just as instrumental as (if not more than) Son regarding our excellent form.

Considering how few times we had our idea starting XI in the 3-4-2-1 formation this season, one could argue Poch isn't getting enough credit for what he's done this season.

I think he would do an incredible job at Spurs - But there will be casualties
He will lay out his ideas and ethos out and the players will need to buy into them and not all of them will.
The unanswered question withy regard to Poch is how he manages the "Bigger" players. At Espanyol and Saints he hasn't really had any superstars, to have to mould or develop (It is easier to dictate how you want things done to young or ego free players). For those that do buy into him or as a minimum simply tow the line, he will get the very best out of them and I think that is his biggest skill. He will also improve and develop the younger players, which seems to be his mantra.

Player for player you have a better squad than us - If he can knit them together and playing to their potential in the way he done for us, then you'll be very successful.
There is a conflict between expectation and developing the younger players, so without knowing what Levy wants in that department it's hard to comment how that will play out, but don't be surprised to suddenly see unknown players from your academy on the bench or even in the team. I am probably just a soppy old sod, but there is something very gratifying about watching homegrown talent and Poch will give them a chance.

As I said before, I could live with losing all our star players if we got to keep him and hope we do everything we can to keep him.
Oh and For the purists amongst you - you will play the best football you have for years.

But that's all irrelevant - There's only one Frank De Boer :) :) :) : )

Because I have no life and was scrolling through the early posts on this thread before we snatched Poch from the grasps of Southampton, I couldn't help but enjoy the accuracy and spot on insight from a Southampton fan about how Poch would do with us. Not sure if this has been re-posted yet.

Also, job well done to Poch for his manager of the month award.

...or maybe Sotonian is Poch?
:pochwtf:
