Charlie Eccelshare is moving on from reporting on Spurs for the Athletic to instead become their tennis correspondent. A shame since I think that Charlie has been one of the more level headed reporters covering Spurs for a long time now.

In a weird way I think that Charlie being a gooner has helped with his reporting. He's not as caught up in his feelings like some reporter that actually is a fan could potentially be.

100%! I hated everything Tim Spiers did when he covered us. Yes, it was during a difficult period so I appreciate all of us were also on edge/not overly receptive to what was written but fuck me it was this guy's snide almost mickey taking that used to wind me up. After a couple of months, I had unfollowed him, never read a single article he wrote and didn't tune into the podcast.
The thing is, I've listened to him this year and his tone is still there.
