Del Piero, Totti, Maldini in some moments of their careers could easily change clubs. But they didn't do it because they wanted to remain faithful.

If Messi wanted to go to PSG he could do it but without bringing up the love for clubs. He could tell he wants to change cars, buy a new kitchen. He would have been more honest. Instead they kiss shirts and the next day they fly elsewhere.
Even worse is seeing Messi's financial status: he is very rich, he also had the freedom to become a fisherman. Instead he went from oil dollars.
Like any puppet.

Totti nearly left for Chelsea until Chelsea pulled out.

Del Piero played for 3 other clubs not called Juventus.

Totti was also close to Real Madrid but remained with AS Roma. Del Piero went to Juventus in 2012 with a blank contract for the renewal but it is the club he wanted to change. I'm talking about the times when it was at its peak.
