Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Dragusin has been absent for a year through injury so isn’t going to be at it straight away, but yes it doesn’t necessarily mean he is good enough.

If Romero and VDV don’t want to be here then I’d rather they moved on. You say about ambition and mention in an earlier post players like Modric, Bale, etc, yet they got their moves by their actions on the pitch that as a result benefited both us and the individual.

You use our inability to replace them adequately as a reason to retain them. If there’s a problem sourcing replacements of a suitable standard then the recruitment process and personnel behind it needs an overhaul. That isn’t a reason to retain players that stink the joint out attitude wise.

I’m not advocating going forward with Dragusin and Danso as our first choice centre back pairing. I’m saying move on any player that doesn’t give 100% for THFC and recruit replacements of similar or ideally better ability. I don’t know what’s so controversial or difficult to understand about that. 🤷🏻

To build the right culture within the club you need to at least start with players that want to be here, rather than ones that are desperate to leave and as a result influence the culture accordingly.

Literally every single part of this post is all kinds of wrong so it's pointless even addressing it but this is the funniest part about it, it's as if you don't pay attention to how shit and stupid our recruitment has been, like when is the penny gonna drop, wake up man 😆

I would like to think anyone being objective can and will read this splendid post and agree.

Posters need to stop excusing individual paucity because certain players are deemed to be our best, a viewpoint that is arguably open to debate.

We need players who are of the necessary quality, who give their all, who help the younger players, who work through difficult periods, and who don't go rogue.

Who recognise the opportunity given to them by this club, and who add value, and if/when that means they are sought by suitors can leave with their heads held high.

I don't think Romero or Van De Ven will be lauded in the manner of an Alli, Vertonghen or Alderweireld, to name but 3.

Great post. One of the very best, and very balanced.

It's a 4-1 drubbing and everything gets over analyzed. That video is as normal as the sun in the midday in the Sahara desert.

I’ve watched it more than I should have and he was talking to Dragusin anyway. When he actually did speak to Micky VDV, he got a response straight away.

If VDV was all song and dance, happy smiley atm I’d be more concerned. It’s a good thing that he’s permanently pissed off because we’re losing games.

Is your reading level Year 6 or something?

Seems pretty self explanatory to me! 🤷🏻

What does that even mean? 🤦‍♂️ It's obvious we need a recruitment overhaul but we don't know what that overhaul looks like or when it actually is going to happen so until then selling your best players isn't the way to do things.

Retain the best ones and once we have a DOF and scouting network who we are comfortable with and can find us gems and players who we can rely on then my all means let them go.

Shortsighted backwards nonsense.

But is he pissed off because we're losing and he wants to win with us or is it because we're losing and he wants out? These are two very different things.

If he wants to win with us, following the manager's instructions would be a good start.

It’s down to the club management to put the proper recruitment department in place.

You don’t keep players of poor mentality or attitude just because they are good players when they deign to be and otherwise influence the culture negatively.

Why do you think Poch had a clear out when he arrived and was ruthless when his authority was questioned? Why do you think Andros Townsend was ejected so quickly?

You build a winning mentality with players that leave everything on the pitch, not ones that are more concerned in their next move because they believe they are above you.

Both can and probably are true.

I have no doubt he loves this club. We took a chance on him and he win his first trophy with us. He will hate where we are atm.

And, he’s a professional player with a short career, he’s got to be evaluating whether he stays here in the summer. He’d be stupid not to.

That clip doesn’t suggest that he isn’t following the instructions though

You're saying a whole load of nothing here, we know it's down to the club but that hasn't happened yet and with the clubs track record I don't know why you're so confident they will do that all of a sudden, what you think that Lange is gonna completely change his ways or we're gonna be able to get Luis Campos out of PSG, do me a favour.

The irony of mentioning Poch by the way when players like Vertonghen and Rose lost interest under Sherwood yet when he came in he turned their form around and they went onto be amongst our best players under him, your massively naive if you think Poch is gonna happily ship out either of these players because of perceived bad attitude especially when you have players like Dragusin and Danso to replace them.

Also lmao Andros Townsend as if he was one of our best players, of course he could afford to ostracise him because he was average and expendable for Christ sake.

Yeah when you actually look at the squad, it hardly strikes me as full of lazy players and 'bad eggs' tbh. There are a clearly a few that have priors (Biss, Spence) and seemingly Romero was late and can be difficult, but when I scroll through our squad I largely see pretty nice young lads with a sprinkling of solid older/mid 20s characters. I think we've got a pretty average group of players, attitude-wise. And the majority of them are willing to run very hard for the team when managed right.

There's clearly a lack of leadership in the group and maybe the culture's become a bit rotten, but I think that's more borne of poor squad-building, bad management and a gradual degradation of standards and quality from up above rather than cos we've signed a bunch of lazy arseholes.
Yes agreed.

A much bigger problem is that we've stuffed our squad with injury-prone players. The medical team is probably substandard but this situation is ridiculous.

If we survive, and he's kept he should be played as a left back from now on by poch.

And get a tapsoba in central defence instead, or similar profile. Think we'd be better for it defensively and attack

Udogie is a waste of time as a starter cause he can't handle a huge amount of minutes. However think both would benefit rotating on the left . Be the new Kyle walker but with a superior attacking threat

Something isn’t right with all the injuries we’re experiencing.

I thought the medical team had been completely overhauled in the summer?

Of course it might just be sheer bad luck.

Not all the players we brought into the club came into it with poor injury records,so it might just be too many walking under ladders.

It's hard to pinpoint and undoubtedly has a material impact on how we perform which nobody should really dismiss, but neither should we be where we are. No basis for this struggle.

But look at Villa, that lot when they have had 2 or 3 big injuries, and City, it can't be easily overcome, but.....

Didn't want to address the rest of the post then, nah thought not ;)

Sometimes it's best for you to stay on read only mode and chill out, not every debate is for you, pal 😆
You’re the one that can’t seem to grasp what’s being said re recruitment and correct player attitude in relatively straight forward language, so what’s the point debating it further?!

It’s clearly more about the argument with you and I REALLY can’t be bothered with it. I’m having an ignore holiday from your nonsense! 😂
