Quite a few users here spend the day shitting on each other over some minor differences of opinion about players.

I'm an equal opportunity hater, nothing to do with her being female. I like to sprinkle a few insults in whenever talking about clubs or players I don't like.
Call me not classy if you want, that's fair enough, but don't call me sexist.
Well, using a sexist term on a woman is last I checked, sexist.

I understand the prevailing social norms. I'm just don't abide by some of them where I can. I disagree that bitch is any more sexist than dickhead, wanker, or ballbag, which refer to male genetalia and generally inteded for men. I've never seen anyone critised for using those terms to insult men.
What are the chances of you speaking up if I called her a cunt, twat or a pussy? Which is again, something directed at male players without a second thought.
Should we limit ourselves to the gender neutral "asshole"? Or call men bitches and women dickheads?
Swear words intended for women don't make them inherently sexist. Unless they imply that women are inferior or should be treated badly etc. just for being a woman.
I generally don't like double standards about what's right and proper for one sex and isn't for the other. One example is the social double standard where men can be "players" but if women do it, then they're called "sluts", which is VERY sexist. What you've done by chastising me is reinforce a double standard.
What I did was vulgar, but in no way sexist. And to be doubly clear, you've just not had a rather long winded argument in the middle of the night with an insomniac sexist. Insomniac, yes. Sexist, no.
I'm a night shift worker, so I have good time to discuss subjects like these.
Understand the history of the term 'bitch' and you'll see that it implies directly to that women are subordinate to men. Dickhead, wanker or ballbag is not implying that men are subordinate, because in our culture – men as an homogeneous group never are. That's why it's not as derogatory when you use those words to describe men.
Your example there is not connected to anything relevant here, but you're right about sluts and players. Most of us is not in any way perfect human beings and tend to double standards, but it is at least better than accepting nothing.
I've previously criticised the popular use of the word 'cunt' in English language in here, although I admit I've used it myself in a humours tone, as I've stated, I'm not a perfect individual.
Be creative, English has a lot of words you can use creatively to underline your point.

I understand words have a history, so many of our everyday sayings have rather bigoted/dark origins. Doesn't mean they should become taboo once we realise their origin.
The word yid is a great example of this. Originally a benign or positive term, then co-opted by racists, which now makes it taboo to say. We as a fanbase are often attacked for using the term more in line with its original meaning. Even if we say it's not intended as an insult, people cite the word's history to say it's out of bounds.
Some insults do have historic connotations of women being inferior, but it's not a factor in modern usage. Men and women all call each other bitches and cunts, both as terms of endearment and insult, without the anti-woman connotation. There's clearly a new movement to re-attach the bigoted meanings and then police their usage.
How about "bastard"? Implies someone born out of wedlock is inferior, but is there actually anyone in the UK today who saying "haha, your mother and father were not married before you were born" when call someone else a bastard on the internet?
I also take issue with your statement that men as a group are never seen as inferior. In all human societies, men are seen as more disposable than women, though in many, men are seen as more useful (the two are not mutually exclusive). A good man is one that can provide, sacrifice himself and not complain. It's why men work the most dangerous jobs, commit more suicide and suffer much more mentally. Men are imprisoned at a far higher rate than women, and given far far harsher sentences for the same crimes. There is not one man in the western world who goes into a divorce court feeling confident that he'll get justice. So the idea that women are, and have always been seen as inferior is not an agrument to suggest that all women specific insults are sexist.
As for dick, ballbag etc. don't those insults imply at least some level of male inferiority? Male genitalia are inherently negative or offensive, hence the comparison as an insult. Or maybe we shouldn't read too deeply into a set of insults that don't go any deeper.

We use it as an endearing way, to elevate us above as victims. It would still not be acceptable to use it a derogatory way. Like woman call each other 'bitches' to emphasise the empowerment of the word, not as an insult.

Why do you consider them negative or offensive? Knobs are signs of vitality, dominance and life. Yes, they are used as abuse, but just because all our private intimate and historically tabooed parts are, not as 'male inferiority'.
I've never said that men as a group are never seen as inferior. I've said as a homogenous group in our culture. And there's a big difference. Men can be in many subordinated categories in today's society but we are never subordinated in our culture as being men. Bitch refers to females as dogs. You do understand the problems that this connotes, right? And why it is sexist?
