Alan Sugar was at the stadium...here's a video with Levy chatting in the background...
he wasn't so bad. we could've quite easily done a leeds or a man city round 1 after irving scholar.I'm surprised he's not quite embarrassed seeing the Stadium now and where the club has got to since he left.
Yeah, you've got Levy talking about not having any cheap plastic shit in the roof because it goes yellow, and Sugar stood there thinking about the cheap plastic he put in the North Stand when he was in charge:I'm surprised he's not quite embarrassed seeing the Stadium now and where the club has got to since he left.

I'd almost forgot it looked like thatYeah, you've got Levy talking about not having any cheap plastic shit in the roof because it goes yellow, and Sugar stood there thinking about the cheap plastic he put in the North Stand when he was in charge:
It always looked photoshopped in real life from the Park Lane...On that subject, it's mad that our stadium actually looked like this for a while, until the next stage of redevelopment happened, with the addition of a proper 2nd tier:

Carlito Brigante some perspective would be great, we're all disappointed we're not in when they said but this is a stadium that'll service us for decades. Who cares over a matter of months??
Look at that and tell me you're not giddy.
Jealous of everyone that'll be there for its christening.
Don't give a shit that we have to wait a little longer. Looks bloody incredible.
Will be unbelievable for night games.
I'm always amazed by how quick progress is, but also that there seem to be big gaps in progress whether caused by 'preparation work' such as installing framework for the veil, or waiting for more deliveries of the veil or whatever other unknown reason why progress isn't happening for a couple of days.
But progress there is, even if not linear.
Here is the veil and installed TV screen on the west side today - and the picture below is from 3 weeks ago on 21 October
Vive la difference !
21 October
With luck, within the next week the TV screen will have been tested and the veil on the rest of the West side completed - we are now a good 75% complete.
East side is much further behind, but much of the framework is in place, so when the contractors start with a bit of momentum it could be completed within 3 - 4 weeks.
The South stand seems to be enormously more complicated framework with veil pieces almost individually crafted to fit, but visually it looks as if the vast majority of framework is in place - so crossing fingers and toes its all coming together within that 3-4 week timescale !
Indeed. The current advanced state of the cosmetics on the exterior twinned with no announcement on the first game really does point towards the safety systems being the final thing (and that the hold up really was unexpected). Does reassure us a bit that the club wasn't simply lying to season ticket holders from the start. And to put things into perspective the veil work which is not essential from a 'safety' perspective should/can be complete well before the Man U game in 2 months time as will any other external work. So it really does come down to that 'critical safety systems' remedial work to be completed
He probably is one...Levy sounds like one of those skyscraper city stadium geeks

Now we can focus the blame onto sabotage by West Ham supporting electricians.
He probably is one...
started a game of football manager 19 as Spurs.
Good news is the game models finances quite accurately. Spurs are very capable of signing top players. Turnover is roughly 400m, with 30m a year spent servicing debt.
Wage bill is 3.8m a year. So almost 200m.
The manchester clubs are quite a bit ahead. But in terms of wages and transfers, Liverpool, Arse Chelsea and us are very similar.
Would expect the same in real life
