sorry but that's not true or fair. The city centre is nice and there are some great pubs
And given that Tottenham is actually a godawful place (with the exception of the stadium and training facilities) maybe this isn't the best route to go down.
Traffics a bit tight, but otherwise its a really nice city, apart from the crime, which is pretty bad and its rated as the 3rd most dangerous place to live in Britain
