Get rid of VAR is my vote. The problems outweigh the benefitsThey wouldn’t want people to see what a shoddy process it actually is.
I don’t know why they can’t still review plays for offsides, but make it where it has to be clear and obvious. If you need to draw lines and analyze in three different angles, it doesn’t fit that qualification.
Unfortunately, the cat is out of the bag at this point. The only thing I think can be done is to keep adjusting until it serves its purpose correctly.Get rid of VAR is my vote. The problems outweigh the benefits
I completely agree with all of that, I hate VAR with great fury and will argue the frame rate and the moment contact with the ball (as it’s kicked vs as it leaves foot), all will undoubtedly render the precise measurement utterly redundant, but those other elements aren’t measured, the one that is shows he’s a ridiculous fraction offside. It's insane to be confident one way or another on such a close decision given the constraints of the technology.
IF both cursors were selected at the very millimeter where each player is on the image, you still need to contend with the fact that we're not even sure if we are looking at the right frame from when the ball was struck in the first place. We're also getting down to such fine margins that the image quality is not precise enough, the video frame rate is not high enough, etc.
You can't say one way or another if it was a "right" call because the technology itself is not even precise enough to make decisions that are this close.
good. Make Kane hungry for the golden boot.Bugger
Salad has scored
Carragher creaming himself
Pre VAR there was a large poll, 40% wanted it but they were vocal.Unfortunately, the cat is out of the bag at this point. The only thing I think can be done is to keep adjusting until it serves its purpose correctly.
Villa defender, Ramsey, just stood and watched it happen.Well crap pool wins
Definitely. Had a real chance there and did nothing and guess what happened next.Barkley is crap, decision making has and will always hold him up.
