Genuinely sad to hear Southgate chat shit about Foden. He’s a wonderful, elegant footballer, the type we rarely produce. He’s been superb for City so far this season, a joy to watch.
Southgate has his plus points but at his core he prefers basic footballers. Player who can head the ball (Maguire), player who shouts and runs a lot (Henderson) and the traditional 9 types or quick wingers.
