Bayern only needs to score two, I can easily see that happening at home, I mean they scored 7 against a somewhat good shakhtar. Porto will need to score again imo, they have the players so hopefully they play their best football

Both their fullbacks are suspended which could spell big trouble, particularly if Ribeiry is back

All the goals came from Bayern defender errors. That wont happen again. Not in Germany
Neuer was also lucky he wasn't sent off. Porto were brilliant. I'd love for them to knock Bayern out, it would be a great achievement. Imagine a semi final of Porto, Juventus, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. All still possible and great in my book. Nice to have teams there that don't usually get that far. Sure, Barca and Atletico have in recent seasons, but it's usually the same old teams.

yes but look, Neuer should have been sent off at the first minute. Just to start. Yes, our goals was because of Bayern errors but Bayern only had one goal chance besides the goal itself. It will be very hard to survive the away game but if we play like today we will advance.

it's a shame Danilo and Alex Sandro not being able to play the away game but Martins Indi is very competent as left back and Ricardito, our Valência :gallashmm:, he's a good prospect and will play well in Danilo's place. I hope :avbshit:

The only issue with one of these 'unexpected' stages is a grand final where the 'giant' team has a practice match with the underdog that had a lucky run. Hopefully Porto wont go to Munchen with a deffensive mentality. If Bayern are given 90 minutes of 'park the bus' tactics then it will be an easy game for them.
Personaly I would like to see Juventus in the final. Just so Pirlo/Tevez can rub it in AC Milans/Citys face:)

I'd like Juventus in the final. It's always nice to see Italian teams go far and I'd love Pirlo to lift yet another Champions League trophy. It'd also be good for Serie A - A league no where near as popular or as big as it once was and for a team to go this far and potentially go on to win it is big.

Neuer was correctly shown yellow because the ball's direction changed prior to the tackle (forward to sideways) - some ex-ref commented last night on our local TV station

I'm not so sure that means it shouldn't be a red. He was clearly the last man and if he doesn't bring the striker down he scores. The rule is wrong in the first place I think as a red and a penalty is a double punishment, but by the law as it is I think he should have walked.

Idea being - ball was going sideways and is therefore no longer a clear goal-scoring opportunity

Apparently you can read it up somewhere

Europa League tonight. Really hope Wolfsburg/Napoli lives up to expectations. Looking forward to seeing de Bruyne.

Watching everyones favourite European competition on ITV4.

Despite pretty much catching the ball for his goal, Higuain just played a peach of a pass to set up Napoli's second.

Rafa Benitez, cup specialist. Napoli have been outstanding. Holding it down for the Italian sides. Dynamo Kiev surprisingly impressive against the overachieving Fiorentina, just the 3 losses in all competitions this season for them.

Shock of the round so far for me is Zenit currently leading away at Sevilla. Considering the amount of players, important ones too, that Zenit have out as well as their tired schedule, to be defeating Sevilla, who are the holders and have been impressive in the competition this year is a good achievement.

Who cares for Dnipro.
