You're still a Spurs optimist? I just can't will myself to be optimistic anymore.
It's clearly #1 and I don't think that it has anything to do with level of optimism. Paratici isn't even official, so there is no way in hell that an organization is going to let someone handle negotiations while not even being an employee of the club. I think we had a plan but Levy likely abandoned it when Conte looked available, and we were chasing after Poch after just sacking him 18 months previous.
This is a gigantic misstep by Levy. I think he has pulled off some masterful things over the years, but I don't think there is any way to twist this that it isn't a complete mess.

I had no idea Morgan was on this morning. I lost all interest in that the day Fred the Weather man disappeared. He always seemed to care a lot for his younger viewers too, weird. Old Judy Finnigan (was never thin let alone being thin again ) was a good moral compass for a young man too.

It could be that one of the reasons it’s taking so long is because we are waiting for the DOF to come on board because we want him to be a major part of the head coach decision making process, as our new DOF kind of should be?
I still wish that DOF was going to be Rangnick, who as well as overseeing some good player scouting, has a pretty good track record of scouting young up and coming coaches.
Failing that, Campos has a much better recruitment cv than Paratici, and Campos, like Rangnick has worked with limited resources and is between jobs right now.

This is Great but doesn't cut it for leagues as competitive as the EPL. Young players will take time to develop and when they reach a point they good enough to take silverware, they usually ready to move on. I'm not saying it isn't a good idea to promote out home-grown players, I'm just saying it would take a balance to achieve league honours. Unfortunately Levy needs to let go of some players as they are just not good enough or their attitude isn't that of winners. In Our case it's possibly up to half of our squad. We will need to buy new players. We cannot only buy youngsters. We need experienced players too. I don't think any manager can use Levys' model and build a successful team.
