News Premier League star arrested on suspicion of rape

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He always gave me a creep vibe. I know you shouldn't condemn a man just off vibes, but this whole saga stinks and I get the sense he's got his fingerprints all over it.
In his image. This is something he has built, his famous "non-negotiables". He chucked out not one but TWO!! Club Captains for breaking his non-negotiables.

Looks like what is acceptable and what's not is about to come tumbling down. Most of the players have girlfriends and wives, just like as in these pages his actions will be discussed, some players no doubt backing him, others maybe not. Broden that out to the discussions within the Club with other staff, how do the female employees feel? What about the Woman's team? Are they high-fiving him when they pass in the corridors?

He's absolutely fucked this up, you can't turn up to training late without public condemnation but he'll do all he can to defend you if you may have raped someone.

Arteta's Woolwich.

The options gave were the Amber Heard is either proof that all women are evil witches OR a one off.

I read this as suggesting that Amber Heard made false accusations. This is indeed what the jury in Virginia found. However the U.K. high court in effect found the opposite ie that Depp had abused Heard at least 12 times.

To suggest Heard made false accusations means you prefer the Virginian court to the British court.

Apologies if I’ve misunderstood.
Depp sued The Sun and Amber wasn’t a party to the case, but a witness.

She was the defendant in Virginia and much more evidence was not inadmissible in their courts compared to the UK.

If I’m reading what you’ve wrote correctly, saying Amber Heard defamed Depp and her claims were false doesn’t mean one prefers one court over another.

Don’t mean to derail this thread so I’ll digress.

It’s funny to think that part of the reason this woman is getting all this vitriol is because the scum aren’t doing anything at all about this.

Innocent until proven guilty, yes, but they have to suspend him pending an investigation.

By standing by him, and taking no actions, their dirty fans think she’s immediately a liar.

Fucking bottling, spineless, dirty scum of a club.

Edit: funny how he took a zero tolerance approach when Aubameyang came back late because of his mum, but alleged rape? Don’t worry about it!

there is a reason they wear red

The two rulings are inconsistent on the key matter of whether Depp abused Heard which was the pièce being discussed.

The U.K. court found that Depp abused Heard on 12 occasions.

The Virginian court found that Depp did not abusé Heard even once.

Im well aware of the context of the cases but nothing in those differences affects the above statements.

I was remarking that it’s curious that a British person would prefer a Virginian jury trial to a British judge. Particularly hilarious if you’re on the right because so much shit is chat about the acceptability of rulings from foreign courts.

This isn't even about club rivalry, Woolwich's actions are genuinely sickening

I don’t find it curious at all. With how out of touch most British judges are with general society I think most people would prefer to be judged by a group of their peers instead of a middle aged white man from a different social class. In the Depp vs The Sun case the judge was also good buddies with the person that owns The Sun. Most people want a fair trial when they go to court, and I’m not convinced Depp got that in the uk case.

Or maybe we should be more open minded and accept/reject rulings based on the specific case rather than because the jurisdiction of a trial was in our home country.

I personally would be willing to accept the judgement of a French court over a British court depending on the case. I don't know that our courts are better than Ameircan or French courts in any way.

I didn't follow the Heard case too much but I do remember reading about all sort of funny business between the Judge, his wife and various people who were connected to Heard.

The British upper class is an incestuous bunch, everyone knows everyone from the media to the politicians, to the royalty to billionnaire industrialists. It seems that Depp was not in with the right crowd and Heard was.

I have no law degree, but for what it's worth it is my understanding that among all States, the legal system in Virginia is the MOST influenced by and predisposed to English Common Law.
