I also don't consider 'signalling your virtue' to be a bad thing. Nuns do it all the time. Hiding your a self centered C***t would bother me much more. However as the kind of person who thinks virtue is a bad thing rarely hides it, we can at least a keep an eye on them.
No - you don't do you.
Lets face it - you do it all the time, and now look down on people who don't do it - it appears.

Some of us are just happy to live right, without feeling the need to cancel everyone who doesn't bang the same drum and to the same beat and volume.

yes, my wife is rational. Our car still feels brand new, which is crazy as it's ferried our young kids around, now 13.5 and 10. I honestly think if we stick with this one for a few more years, the next can be more for us as the eldest should be driving.

We did go more utilitarian with a Subaru Forrester XT but they are as hard as nails, we were looking at an X3 but they don't hold up so well and look crappy if abused. It's a shame as I came from a 320 M Sports tourer that I loved. It never missed a beat in ten years of ownership.

I myself have a pristine S2000 with 50km on the clock, and i'm restoring a type-1 VFR400 NC30. So our main car just needs to be reliable, tidy and safe. It just helps to have the same 2.0l turbo lump as the WRX ;-)

I feel you pain though, i'll buy you a pint if we ever meet at the game and we can moan about the cost of living. Of course, said pint will be purchased outside the ground as it's much cheaper!!!
We seem oddly alike. I have an M3 convertible tucked away in the garage that's just for me so she doesn't ruin it :roflmao:
The look on her face when I said she wasn't even insured as she can't be trusted. The X3 has been a workhorse btw. It'll spin a bearing tomorrow, but at 120k it's needed minimal maintenance. Biggest job was brakes all round, quoted Β£1250 but DIY easy enough for Β£350 all in. BMW rates :roflmao::roflmao:

You got me thinking.

6 years ago I bought my nearly new car for cash. Looking on Autotrader, it's depreciated by Β£7k, which is the equivalent of having paid Β£97 per month - so I reckon I've done okay.

I know 2 people in the last year that have made money on 2 year old cars they PCP'd new. My bathroom fitter gave his Maccan back at 2 years old having not paid effectively. Porsche contacted him and asked to buy it back before the term was up.
My brother has a Q3 going back to Audi 2 years early and another new one coming as they offered him too much to say no.

Truth be told. I think Lewis is a shit owner, and the rumours of his ’project’ in South America are worrying. Levy seems to have an affinity with spurs but no way they are not maximising their profit. They will justify this in numerous ways to show they care about the club but when push comes to shove, it’s an investment for them and always has been. I’m not wholly against this but let’s not wrap it up into something it’s not.

I wish they had taken the initiative in their tenure to push on. We could have done this the correct way and stood proud. I fear the time has passed and we will whore ourselves to the highest bidder and not care too much what their intentions are.
What's the South American project?

Can we keep this thread relatively light hearted like it has been. Getting bogged down in all the getting on the high horse melodrama is like being back on SC with the dicks who post on there.
Unfortunately, thread descent is already in progress and cannot be interrupted prior to reaching its final destination. Please place your seat back tray in the upright and locked position and fasten your seatbelt. There will be a fair amount of turbulence as we approach our destination. Those who will be disembarking the vehicle at Ban City, you will find your luggage is waiting for you at the terminal. For those who will be continuing, please attempt to remain calm and enjoy the complimentary podcasts while the cuntoff is in progress.
