We seem oddly alike. I have an M3 convertible tucked away in the garage that's just for me so she doesn't ruin it :roflmao:
The look on her face when I said she wasn't even insured as she can't be trusted. The X3 has been a workhorse btw. It'll spin a bearing tomorrow, but at 120k it's needed minimal maintenance. Biggest job was brakes all round, quoted £1250 but DIY easy enough for £350 all in. BMW rates :roflmao::roflmao:
Can I bring my Beamer round to you next time I need the brakes done?

That's an incredibly strange take.

Were the Proud Lilywhites meant to stay quiet about the Qatari state taking a stake?

They're not exactly a country known for treating LGBT people well at all, I am not sure what you think they should have said. Should suddenly be ignored because someone ethnically questionable comes along with a truck load of money?

Put another way, if someone were to come along and offer you the right sum of money, would you become an Woolwich fan?
Alternatively, is their involvement with western companies softening (maturing) their views and perhaps lobbying and influencing their own government, public to modernise their views?

The day I look into the directors box and they are all wearing keffieh on their heads I will be gutted. That ain’t the Tottenham I know and love

The 2022 World Cup changed the rules.

Cheers!!

Not quite sure what you mean here, possibly that our supporter base would somehow educate/influence the new potential investor?

It might be interesting to perhaps put in to context with the Newcastle takeover, the Northern Pride line was reported to be: "The fans' group outlined their hope that working with the new owners could lead to a 'a positive influence to improving the conditions for the LGBTQ+ community in Saudi Arabia'. This response was broadly condemned.

Qatar is ran by a very conservative regime who care little for women's rights and even less for those who are LGBT. They are not going to change and the idea of sports washing is simply to replace the notion of repression with a country who host the world cup and like football, it's a distraction tactic nothing more.

UAE have changed their views slowly

They're not about to host a Pride event any time soon!

I also think it's a safe bet that QSI aren't trying to buy a stake in Tottenham Hotspur to moderate the country's views on tolerance, that's a bit of a stretch.
I agree on both counts and it will take a few generations before they are fully tolerant but the more they are exposed to western culture, the more they will start to adopt as their own and become more modern in their thinking. IMO

French/Parisian culture is far more progressive than English/London culture, and a decade of being sole owners of PSG has done fuck all to make the Qataris anything but disgusting cunts. I don't think buying a minority share of Spurs to pimp us out as a development squad is gonna change anything.

Nor do I think a generation of running adult Disney world down in the gulf is gonna effect cultural change, either. They won't change their attitudes until we ditch petrol vehicles and the value of their oil dwindles. When they can't just buy/extort whatever/whoever they want, they'll stop being cunts. But it won't be a day before then.
