Who he?

The only player who came close to Stevie as my favourite. I was made up when he signed for us, he was always on my 'wish list'.

When flying to Ireland, from Stanstead when it was much quieter the whole Spurs squad were there, George Graham etc. They were all nice enough, posing for photos, but Ginola was the most welcoming of them all. He put his arms round both my brother and me and smiled so genuinely. Got the photo blown up to poster size. They say don’t meet your heros, but Ginola was an absolute gent!

At the first Player of the Year dinner he attended, you could hear a sharp intake of breath from every female as he entered the room. He had star quality all right (and did he know it!).
