Scoring a penalty is just as hard or harder than scoring tap ins from cut backs with no keeper to beat or just the keeper to beat from 6 yards so penalties do count.Nope....... But you were talking about finishing prowess.
Give Richy 7 pens in a season and see where his total is.

Converting penalty after penalty as the likes of Toney, Kane and Palmer do is a strength in itself. I would have no confidence whatsoever that Richarlison would convert 6 out of 6.
I wouldn't trust Kane if its a very important game. He kind of shrinks in those moments.Converting penalty after penalty as the likes of Toney, Kane and Palmer do is a strength in itself. I would have no confidence whatsoever that Richarlison would convert 6 out of 6.
Richarlison wouldn’t be taking pens for us- it’d be Maddison or the CAM ideally. Maybe if we get a stud winger with great tekkers they’d do that too, but certainly not Werner or Johnson.Converting penalty after penalty as the likes of Toney, Kane and Palmer do is a strength in itself. Son will be taking pens if he is still in the squad starting.Richarlison wouldn’t be taking pens for us- it’d be Maddison or the CAM ideally. Maybe if we get a stud winger with great tekkers they’d do that too, but certainly not Werner or Johnson.
spelling nazi moment, but is it not ‘gilt-edged’ as in ‘gold’ rather than ‘guilt-edged’?
Please god no- time to move on. We can’t have him as captain and he’s won’t accept being demoted from the role.

8 pens. I quite like Toney but I don’t think he’s miles ahead of Richy, not what we need imo. Rather go for GyokeresFar better finisher. Richarlison has never got anywhere near to 20 PL goals in his career as Toney did last season.
So would I but Toney would give us a presence and knows the league. He wouldn’t need to settle in . We don’t have that with Richy or Sonny. They are easy to play against especially when teams sit in and there’s no space for them because they can’t play in tight spaces. They can’t link the play with clever touches and both have a touch like a set of railings when a defender goes tight with them.8 pens. World class finishing and pressingActually think they are about equal. Richys first time finishing (both in air and on ground) and pressing is genuinely world class. Give richy penalties and he finishes on roughly the same goals as toneys best ever season. Grass is always greener guys!

If you look at the stats on his first time finishing, you'll see that it actually is world class. He is massively over his xg for first time finishers, number 1 in the league in fact. His finishing is nowhere near world class. Not saying Toney's is either but he's defintely a more natural goal-scorer than Richarlison. I thnk he would be an ugrade, but how much of an upgrade is open for debate.
Richarlison's strength is that he can do a bit of everything. But he's the master of nothing.
Look at Richy's xG for first time finishing and compare to goals scored.. Tifo did a piece on this earlier this season, Richy is actually number 1 in the league for outperforming his xG for first time finishers. He has the best goals vs touches ratio of anyone in the league also. That is world class. And regarding his pressing check out his heat maps.. they are off the charts in terms of his defensive output .. very very underrated player.World class finishing and pressing![]()
Fucking kill me now. Richy is not a natural finisher and pressing is just a willingness to sprint and force someone to make a mistake or pass to an area where you’ll win it. One of the funniest posts I’ve read on hear for a while.
