We would have been relegated with a bang without him!
The transformation was remarkable, we were as dead as can be when he came in. And i didn't see this coming!
A good thing, but my concern is whether he's given the budget. He may have control over WHO we get, but if he's restricted by a weak budget?

He did go out of his way to mention guys that didn't or barely played like Davies and Dragusin. No mention of the captain in that section.

That's not what happened though. He had his family in italy the whole time and only ever does 2 seasons at a club before losing his shit. He's now walking away from Napoli after the same amount of time.
Reality is that we were at our best under Conte when he wasn't playing the Conte way and was carrying the momentum of a team that was still very much Poch/Mourinho. That summer, he changed the way we play and we regressed. Having a key coach die and some of this mates didn't help his attitude, but I don't think Conte loses interest so much - I think he drops a grenade before he introspects
Danso feels like Davies‘ natural successor as a decent squad player but not first choice.

Realistically - when you say we need 4-5 players then you will get 5 players like Odobert. I do not know what do you achieve with that.
I would much rather get in 2 top level players. A staring ST an starting LW. Backed by likes of Kudus, Kulusevski, Madders, Moore, Solanke and Odobert/Tel.
Saying that - okay, yea, after "new starting LW" + Kudus the drop would be quite significant. Then maybe one more winger. But even then we land on 3 players. Not 4 or 5.
