Well look at some of the fucking pussys on this board who wet themselves over words you can hear in a school playground. Everyone is far too easily offended nowadays. This the most pathetic decision ever. How bloody sensitive are the British people? The UK must be the most politically correct country on the planet.
Yeah this is fine then;Christ alive.
He made an unwise "gag", without malicious intent, which wasn't funny and yes, should have consequences.
As others have said, compare and contrast with John Terry, whose insults had obvious malicious intent (and not for the first time). Or Enzo Fernández, who has got off scot free, again, for much nastier remarks.
But no, Rodrigo Bentancur is a Nazi, and must be shown to be one.

But the FA doesn’t govern the premier league.Only available for Europa because that's governed by UEFA, will still be suspended for domestic cups since they're also governed by the FA.
We can’t stop Romero going,Another element linked to this is how all the other top PL sides have enough weight to pull their key players from international duty yet we never do. Rice, Saka, Palmer all out for this break. Romero could have one leg and we'd still let him fly to Argentina.
It just highlights a general lack of seriousness at the club. I fully agree that it's easy street at Spurs. That was clear to see during the Amazon doc. Really exposed the low standards.
Right now who cares if he goes he mentally left ages ago.
Appreciate you're just being pedantic but the FA is still the regulatory body in England meaning it handles disciplinary matters in the Prem.
If he received a 1-game ban, for example, we wouldn't be shaking our angry fists on here. We might be citing Enzo Fernández but otherwise...I disagree. The guy made a silly joke. He can say that he is sorry if it offended people and on we move.
I’d be fine with that. But I’m a grown adult who has a pretty thick skin.I disagree. The guy made a silly joke. He can say that he is sorry if it offended people and on we move.
Richarlatan controlling anything is a bit of a stretch. He struggles with footballs let alone the mind.7 games is fucking ridiculous. Any chance we can say that Richarlison was controlling him via a Brazilian mind trick?
Has there been anything comparable with a comparable punishment?
I don't think Bentancur's case is too far removed from the Cavani precedent in 2021. From the BBC article at the time re Cavani:
"...in imposing the minimum punishment for using insulting and/or improper language, the commission noted in mitigation that Cavani and United "have taken steps to ensure that the player has a greater understanding of his responsibilities on social media".
The commission wrote: 'The unique circumstances and facts of this player's case were of such significance that a departure from the standard minimum was justified in order to avoid an unjust outcome.' ... Along with the ban and fine, Cavani must also complete a "face-to-face" education programme."
They gave him 3 weeks and that was after the current 6-12 week sanction guideline was brought into effect in 2020, so the same rules apply here. I would think 3 weeks for Bentancur would be in line with that precedent.
