I will happily forgive the few sloppy giveaways because it's clear what he offers.

He's a real presence off the ball and he's generally silky on it.

Good passing range and a fantastic engine.

Really good signing.

Some of his passing is game changing.

There was a touch he took near the end to bring the ball down … woof. No one is in the middle can give us that touch of class.

He actually wants to be in possession of the ball, which for our midfield is no small thing.

Good game. Needs to watch out for drifting across our area and getting caught in possession, but City is about as hard as it gets.

Yes, he did lose to the ball a few times -as some of you perennial critics, with razor-sharp critical minds, made us well aware of - but the guy's just started his 3rd (?) game for Spurs, in a new league in a team that is still finding out how to play Conte's way and against the best team in Europe (a team that even steamrolled Chelski playing wise).
Give him some time as he will need time to adjust to life in the EPL and that he will make mistakes during that "adjustment" period.

Yeah I can forgive getting pressed by City a couple of times. That he ran forward to receive the ball and run a bit with it gave our defence a much needed breather to reset themselves.

One thing I enjoyed about Benta is he will be in the middle of three city players and pointing to his feet for a pass as if it is the most obvious thing ever is his teammate blind? I love that sort of confidence and shows he isn't either hiding or pretending to mark an opponent when we have the ball. Rare for us.

Honestly thought he was poor today but do think he will prove to be a useful player for us, and certainly preferable to some of our other options.

As VonnegutBusy VonnegutBusy said, I'll forgive him for his lost balls, because what he offers is much greater. He's a fucking midfielder for one, he gets stuck in, he wants the ball, he covers the defence and he offers in attack. He isn't afraid of keeping the ball, and progressing with it. Him and Skipp will be so good together. I was VERY doubtful about him, but my god has he changed my opinion. Love him.

Yes and no. He wasn’t always great on the ball but he was great off the ball, City found it difficult to play through us and he was a big part of the reason.

Yeah, he did some good stuff. I thought the tempo fucked him though, seemed to really struggle when pressed.

All expected, City can make great midfielders look average. Overall at the club he's done well.

Spot on , it’s nice to see a midfielder who actually wants the ball . The sort of bloke you want beside you in the trenches!

I thought him and Sess connected quite well, especially when they got it up to Son for one of Harry's shots.

Lots of promise and shows no fear.
