I know it’s only been a month, but I am rapidly falling in love with this guy.

The calmness to switch the ball to his other foot, look up and see where is best to clear the ball to.. if that’s any other of our midfielders, it’s a completely hash.

Not going to engage in I told you so type comments, a) because I wouldn’t like that done to me and b) because he wouldn’t be the first player to start well and go south, but I hope as a collective we learn to pass judgement on players after seeing them play in our kit, not before.

Bound to take him a game or two to adjust to what you can and can’t get away with in the premier league. He looks the business to me though. So far Paratici looks like he knows what he is doing.

Would have been interesting to see a certain hulk in our shirt for a few months before passing judgement.

He wasn't - they played through him - they bypassed him as they knew he'd fuck it up
Some people simply prefer to deny reality 😁 If Højbjerg had not consciously lifted up his foot the ball would - according to the laws of physics - stopped at his foot. But if you still believe that you saw the ball go thru his foot then you must believe you either the football or Højbjerg - or both - circumvented the laws of physics - on other words: Højbjerg performed a miracle 😁

They used him a cone decoy - old-skool Conte drill that

He's pretty good this fella. I like him. Fitness permitting, a certain starter from now on.

Seems capable of tackling to help the defence, turning and switching defence to attack and more than capable of putting a ball through.
I'm sure that by the end of the season we could have 2 reels - one of all the good work and one of the times he gave the ball away..............trying to be positive.

Weird how the Juve fans were so down on him (and Kulu actually) what I've seen of him so far wasn't to be expected going by what they've been saying unless this is temporary form or something.

Normally when players sign for us they're shit for at least 18 months ...... what if this is their shit, imagine what they'll be like when they really get going.....

Side note...I wonder how many times over recent years we've had players we've signed from abroad hit the ground running like this straight away, as in look like they've been in the team for years...

Reguilon didn't need time to adapt and settled in pretty quickly

Bergwijn had a solid debut but his form then went to pieces so not sure he counts

Eriksen was really good and was a hit straight away if I recall.

Can't think of anymore...
