Match Sheffield United vs Tottenham Hotspur | Sunday 17th Jan, KO: 14:00

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A lot of people struggling to understand the point of the very late subs. Primarily to help see out time and break up the game of course, but I do wonder if part of it was also a message to the players along the lines of "Yes I'm going to make a sub with 30 seconds of the match to play, because there are still 30 seconds of the match left to play, it's not over yet, I do my job until the final whistle and you all need to do yours too". We have such a history this season (and recent seasons tbh) of switching off in the last few minutes of a game, I wonder if Jose thought this was as a good a time and method as any of reminding all the players to play and concentrate right to the end... Just a thought...

If given a choice, I'd rather get to CL by winning EL than by scraping to 4th, but miss being in the CL, so not really fussed how we get there.
Agreed that the how is secondary, but the manner of the how matters to me. I am not a fan of the current style despite the fact that I can't ever remember being so confident in not conceding. With so many other teams not being quite at it, I like us to be a bit more pro-active.

I have been converted into the 'winning is everything' camp. Don't get me wrong, I would prefer to see some beautiful play, but without creativity in midfield, we are struggling to produce that. Having said that, maybe Tanguy and Gio (when fit), can provide that. We have two of the best strikers in the country on our books, we should definitely be attacking the opposition more. It is very frustrating when we sit back - just asking for trouble.

The point is that it is always evading him I mean dier.

He is always underneath the flight of the ball. He's just not able to judge trajectories etc.
But as said so many times before, no pressure on the cross.

Dier is 2nd in the league in headed clearances this season.
