I've never seen anyone make this point other than myself. Which baffles me.. But..

Why can't Enic stay and levy go?

As chairman levy is the one ultimately in charge of what direction we take. He's had ten years or however long.. And let's not Fuck around, he's done wonderful things for the club.

Because he owns Enic along with Joe Lewis?

I was thinking more about him seeking advice outside the usual suspects.
I agree. I appreciate what levy has done for the club but some of his decisions have been baffling he HAS to take some of the blame for where we currently are at the moment. That said whats to say the next person who comes in as chairman will piss the club up the wall?

I just think he almost needs an impartial advisor

. He probably just needs to listen to advice more when making his decisions.

What if Sherwood has been advising him this whole time? Since day 1!

Sept 2003: Hoddle Sacked

Maybe Sherwood was given oracle status back then? And gave the nod for all the managers & signings since?

Honestly, I couldn't give a shit right now.... He clearly doesn't!!

As long as the books balance, who cares about a 5-0 drubbing at home, so soon after a 6-0 raping away!!
Until the Russians or Arabs turn up, we're playing 2nd fiddle with the other 17 teams.... only we're not as good as them, and have sold our soul long ago!

We haven't quite been the same since ArseAnal shat in our lasagne...

and replace him with who exactly? Ashley? Levy did a good job this summer as far as I'm concerned, what we have in place squad wise needs someone else to manage before Levy is accountable.

I just have one question: Lots of the commentators have been saying that not ALL of the players brought in were of AVB's choosing, so if it was levy's choice, why? And if it wasn't him, who and why and how and when and where and why again?

How are we going to get better when you don't want us to do a man city or chelsea?

simple really at the end of last season all we really needed to get better was a better striker to link up with Bale

we didn't need more money and were financially sound, Levy decided to give in to Bales requests and ship him out

Benteke, Suarez, Rooney all got told they were staying end of

fuck it Levys been here ages and we've stopped progressing so it's time to either accept or position of CL feeder club or roll the dice

So you are proposing that the man who just got £86M for one player and spent £120M on half a dozen additions to the squad, is the root cause of the team being unable to string a coherent performance together?

Just what else does Levy have to do to justify that suggestion, do an abramovich and dictate team tactics as well?

This club got what its supporters wanted - that OLD tosser Redknapp sacked (despite having gotten us into europe twice (- one time due to circumstance) and having us play the best football I have seen at WHL since the 60's)
and he got the new Portugeezer wunderkind - despite all of the signs writ large from his tenure at Chelski -
and you are asking the man who granted you your wishes to be sacked?

Fantastic rationale.

ah come on - he was about to do another prima donna cunt impersonation. flog him before he soured the reputation he had, and get him at the top market value, rather than be stuck with a player totally lacking in motivation and incentive, thereby lowering his market value.
I'm just as fucked off as you are that we lost berbatov, Modric and Bale like we did, but i think Levy did the righ thing for the club, by getting top dollar for them, whilst they were still bankable.

BUT - I totally agree that his decisions in manager selection have been haphazard and poor. he did get lucky with Redknapp - but Harry was getting too big for his boots. In the end I was happy he went just so I didn't have to put up with the thundercunts on Spurs newsgroups inventing more reasons to get rid of the guy, that made no sense.
Redknapp wasn't a great tactician, but he was a footballer, with a gift, - that of motivation, team building and charismatic leadership. He took an ailing and relatively ordinary team and made them into a sporadically great side, and a consistently good side.
If levy had managed to persuade AVB to work as Redknapps no2 - naybe that might have yielded better results. AVB on his own has turned a large collection of gifted individuals into a relatively average unit, that fails to capitalise on the talents at its disposal.

Suarez and Rooney don't look lacking in motivation and incentive do they? and Benteke started the season in fine form before his injury.

We regularly cave in so players know all they have to do is kick up a fuss and Levy will submit to their wishes. We will never progress further if we keep selling all our best players and Levy stays in charge of managerial appointments, that much is clear to me now. We had a PRICELESS player on our books and sold him at the drop of a hat.

Only in your tiny little fuckn brain you idiot

THFCs performance today pissed me the fuck off, you had fuck all to do with it and mean the square root of fuck all to me

you're an insignificant delusional twat
You however are a gifted intellectual, with all the charisma and grace of a prince charming.

It is like with the FA isn't it? Succesive manager after manager. they continue to refuse to address the problem of grassroots football and english players lacking technical ability. At spurs we keep going down the path we have done over the last 10 years. AVB will be gone but who is going to come in to clean up the mess baldini and levy have made?.
in 2017, I can picture it out now, eriksen and lamela flying and scoring goals and all we need is a fcking defender in january to tighten up our defence.Guess what levy will do?, probably buy another striker. The guy is immune to logical and rational planning.
We will probably still have that clown les ferdinand teaching them how to not kick a ball and fans whinging about 60 year old defoe being on the bench and how 4-4-2 is the way forward.

Levy is told by the owners what to do with regards to the clubs objectives, it's then up to him to set a strategy in place and execute that strategy in order to reach the objectives laid out by the owners.

The only thing Levy is culpable for in my eyes is hiring the wrong man for the job. I would be surprised if it were Levy getting rid of our star players, no way would that be sanctioned by anyone else other than the owners.

Under Levy we have seen a continued upward trend in our league position.

I think it's time to accept we have reached our natural upper limit in terms of regular league positions - sometimes we will over achieve and get 4th, sometimes we will be where we deserve to be in 5th-6th other times we will under achieve.

No club is ever going to be a consistent top 4 club with a 36k stadium or a rich sugar daddy coming in.

For me, overall, Levy has done a good job with two or three obvious big mistakes, but, we have improved massively since he came in.

and if i discover some oil in my backyard i promise ill buy the club and spend some serious $$$[/quote]
You wouldn't lend all of us a few bob first? You bastard. :carrollwtf:

Like Carlito says, he owns part of the club, so he's not going to get the heave ho. And really as many others have said, despite the mistakes we have moved forwards as a club since he took over. To be honest were it not for Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour skewing the league with their dirty money, then we would have likely progressed even further.
