Conte isn’t the manager for a long term, 3-5 year rebuild.
It’s clear this current squad isn’t going anywhere.
Between Kane and Son, we might be able to get around 150 million.
Is it worth even keeping them around or selling them and bringing in players for the future?
These are decisions we really need to think about now, then execute over the summer.

I want to keep Kane/Son & Conte.
However, bring Gil back from loan who can rotate for Son whenever the Korean is off form. Also bring in a back up CF so Kane sometimes gets a rest.

I don’t get the disjunction of options here
We need to keep Son and Kane for a rebuild to have any chance of success. You can't just take ALL the goals and assists out of the team and expect Levy and Paratici to not only replace them but add all the additional quality that we were already missing. We are talking about a hierarchy that thought Bryan Gil was the only attacking player we needed to sign after losing Bale, Vinicius and Lamela.
Keep Conte, keep Kane, keep Son, add quality in the required positions and move on the players who aren't good enough. That is our route to success, it is a miracle that we have two world class forwards that cost £0 and £22m respectively. It would be suicide to throw those two miracles away and trust the men who bought Emerson for £25m to replace them properly.
Selling your best players is not a route to success and never has been. Neither Kane or Son are luxury players like Coutinho, they are the core of the team. Without them the team does not exist. When you are on top of the world and have the right football structure then of course you can afford to be more ruthless with players who are fading very slightly, we are not in that position. We are not United under Ferguson.

If there is a route back for us to be challenging like we were under Poch it is a LONG one.
Even in the best case scenario of Kane, Son and Conte all staying there is just so much deadwood that all contribute to this pathetically weak mentality we have. That takes a coherent plan and a lot of shrewd investment to turn around.

I agree not this season but back Conte in the Summer and get rid of the dead wood we can do it next season
I say sell everyone, not including the following:
Kulu, Bentancur, Hojberg, Kane, Son, Lloris, Davies (on the fence on this one), Lucas, Romero & Dier.
Lucas, Dier, Davies, Hojberg and possibly Hugo (in a year or two) would be sound enough backups/squad players once we have a much better group of first team players.

It's clear the squad as a whole aint good enough we need to keep players such as Kane, Kulu, Romero, Son (although he's been going downhill imo) Skipp. And build a team around them
We need to upgrade on Davies, Dier, Hojberg, Moura and Berg and Sessengon and Regie and use these guys as the backup.
And just replace shit like Royal,Doc, Sanchez, Winks.
Minimum in the summers another CB a RWB and CM of very good quality and not left last minute. And that's just to plug the gapping wholes in the squad. We also need a backup keeper and someone to fucking rotate with Kane and Son cause and replace Son when his form drops.
