I’d like to see the next guy bring his own coaching staff in. As I’m interested to see where Ryan Mason heads off to next. Does he want to go down the management route? Or just be a coach?

Coming up to 35 years old with a good deal of experience at a premier league club. He should be ready to take on a lower league team if he wants to. Like McKenna did.
Should have accepted that Anderlecht job

His football is very open and attacking like Angeball, doesn't care much about defence. I don't think the fans want that kind of attacking football anymore now they have had a taste of it.
Ok. I'm not up to speed on Fonseca, just remembered that he was on the table for a while.

I don't have a problem with attacking football. For me it's the total lack of organisation in defence that's Anges big problem. Plus his inability to adapt to the opponent and the fact that not one single player has developed under him.

Kompany is smashing it at Bayern.

Was derided and written off for the naivety of his time at Burnley.

If we are looking for a new manager, it needs to be a truly elite one like Nagelsmann or Alonso if we are serious about really wanting to win things.

If we can’t get one of those, it would be better taking a gamble on a younger one making their name and determined to play modern, front foot, aggressive football.

All the names people are chucking out seem like a different mix of things we’ve already tried.

A caretaker with a clear understanding that he won't be here next season no matter what would be my first choice, but I know most managers consider it almost insulting. Lampard at Chelsea and Heynckes at Bayern are the only examples I can think of, but neither would have done it without the special connection they have with those respective clubs.

Sentimentality only goes so far though. Even if Redknapp feels that he has that kind of a connection with us, I wouldn't blame him for refusing to sort this mess out. There's no reward in it.

Other than millions of pounds and a potential profile or ego boost?

Yall are forgetting that this club loves to save face above all.

Ange was like the board’s 4th or 5th choice.

They know this position isn’t attractive. They don’t want to go through another embarrassing manager search.

Milan just fired Paulo Fonseca.

There is still a chance for us to get "the Zorro"

Go for it!!

We are in a problem.

Got the temp options like Mason and Wells.

Got the probably will fuck up options like Terzic,

Got the will need time which we won’t give like Potter

Got the won’t come mid season options like Irola, Frank and Silva and some of them not even suited to us.

Got the nuclear winter option like Southgate

Got the suitable but other issues options like Poch and Naglesmann

There is no good options. At a push if Irola could be made to join that is about as ok as we could do.

Kompany is very similar to Ange. When he has a big squad and the best team then it looks unreal but he's not tactically versatile. I can see him blowing the CL by going too attacking away from home and throwing away a lead. I'd love him to win them the CL and for attacking football to take over. But as we've seen with Ange, teams just know how to play against you. Sit deep, defend, time waist and just wait for your high lime to be left exposed and hit you on the counter. Ange would be doing the same job at Bayern now and Kompany would be equally struggling with this spurs team.

Great managers when their teams are winning because its attacking football and the wins are empahtic. But no versatility or ways to win ugly when the games don't go to plan.

Are the 27 Graham Potter voters aware that Potter's win ratio at Brighton was 31.11% and rose to 38.71% at Chelsea over 166 Premier League games at both clubs?

Potter should never have been given the Chelsea job and when the Chelsea director's accepted this; they sacked Potter.

Marco Silva had a win ratio at Everton of 39.34% and at Fulham is achieving a win ratio of 44.10%

Silva has 8 votes on here.

I am in favour of democracy but please make it make sense people.

Not really sure what point you're trying to make. He did OK with Brighton and not good enough with Chavs (as did his replacement, Lord Poch, they spent loads and took ages to gel - I don't think it was Maresca's touch of magic, just a talented squad with lots of depth and consistent style over time).

On that note, I didn't see Maresca getting plaudits before chavs got him. In fact: there was not a SINGLE mention of him on this entire site before it was revealed he was in talks to take over at chavs, not a single, solitary fucking 'oh, this maresca guy seems alright' at any point in the entire history of this site until 1 week before he was officially revealed at Chelsea.

What were his credentials? 30% win rate at Parma, 65% win rate at a recently relegated Leicester playing in the championship with mid-table PL players.

So, let's all be honest, no one on here has a fucking clue what they are talking about. 20-20 hindsight and winning 50-50 gambles once in a while is enough to be a one-eyed man in the land of the blind until you stick your necks out and fuck it up.

Now Potter is going to Spam, he'll get his chance with a half-decent, mature squad. So I guess we'll see if he's better than Lopetegui. Or maybe he'll fail because no one thinks he's good enough, who knows.
