Thought we had 4/5 E/U16’s, injuries or have they moved up? Or my memory fails me.

These are u15's rather than u16's

I think at both u15 and u16 the coaches try out a number of players, so there might be 2 or 3 different squads tried out ie maybe 50 or 75 in each age group - and u15 squads are called up for more training camps than formal matches.

But certainly from u17 onwards (and maybe later in the season u16 call ups) the squads are mainly of the same 20 odd players (allowing for injuries) with relatively few 'new' players joining each age group squad.

Yeah:

Whilst Luca Gunter and Rio Kyerematen called up for E u16's
Just thought we had more U16's presently (regulars of note, as you say though maybe they are drift in and out players I took as 'core English Squad', presume there are 6-8 in each group who are virtual ever presents when fit).

For the record Tanganga, Brandon Austin and Tobi Omole are now all over 21 and would have to be included in the squad of 25 to be eligible to play for the 1st team.
Austin already on loan in the USA so highly likely we will be looking to loan out Omole and IMO Tanganga could also do with a loan.
CCV and Whiteman are the other 2 over age players who are not 1st team regulars and would have to be included in the squad of 25. CCV highly likely to be sold. Whiteman surely needs a loan and maybe Spurs could sign a Brad Fridel type if he does go out on loan?

Hmmmm

Its a fair bet (and maybe a racing certainty) that Dragon1 would be right as all 3 are unlikely to be out on loan, but highly rated and all 3 played minutes for the first team last season.

But I doubt its ITK, as you say, as manager has yet to be appointed. But it may well be that any incoming manager will be given a briefing on young players and those club recomend should be played in pre-season and Conference League and that briefing would include all 3 of those young players.

A more difficult call will be which of the Development Squad will be playing for first team next season, as probably a dozen or more of the most senior will be loaned out leaving half a dozen or so of those who were in development squad plus about a dozen from the latest to join Development squad.
I agree.

I hope this means that Nile John, Dane Scarlett & Alfie Devine are all highly regarded, and that our new DoF / Head Coach structure will be encouraged to consider their development as an important part of the job.

From White City, came over from Brentford in 2016 (I didn't think they had any sort of academy?)

Someone did well to persuade him to come over to Enfield then; 3 big clubs very close to Brentford - Chavs, Fulham and QPR, although the first 2 have training grounds out in Surrey. QPR's would have been pretty easy to get to.
Thought it was Dermi Lusala who came across from Brentford - presumably when they closed their Academy - not NJ.

Brentford Academy was formally closed at end of 2015-16 season with the players released to find another academy to join and a few (probably oldest) sold.

Players included u16's but also u16'2, u15. u14 etc.

Spurs picked up a number of them, but worthwhile noting that its not uncommon for players at end of say u14 season will move from one academy to another, so whilst Brentford academy closing brought things to a head some players might have moved anyway.

Thimothee Lo-Tutala u18 goalkeeper who has just moved up to Spurs development squad is another who moved from Brentford academy to Spurs around time of Brentford academy closing (but not sure of precise timing).
cheers 👍

T L-T is highly rated as a keeper isn't he? If so, that's 2 possible for the future then, good going.

Did Brentford shut their Academy down because it's expensive for a non-PL team, and their best kids got cherry-picked by other, bigger clubs? 3 of them have grounds very close to Griffin P.

They must be doing something right. Since they got their promotion out of Div 1 they've been there or thereabouts several seasons. I imagine there's so many players that get released by other London clubs they can let them do the hard work for a change!

Rick Wakeman I recall being a fan, don't know of any other "celebs".

Just to put that into context Mini Messi Edwards was seen as being an even better prospect than Noni Mandueke who was being seen by Dortmund as Jadon Sancho's successor when he moves on ....... or to put it another way Poch seems to have pissed off 2 youngsters who are currently being regarded as possibly worth £100m each in time.......

Kind of underlines the need for a youh development policy ?

Ultimately it depends on who the manager/head coach of the first team is. If they don't believe in youth and genuinely give youth a chance to progress then kids will be reluctant to stay and they will move on.

Not bad money - just a shame that Poch came up with that 'Mini Messi' comment and it seemed to be downhill all the way.

The youngster has shown his talent in Portugal so wouldn't surprise me at all if selling him is seen as one of our worst ever mistakes.

Going over the top a bit. 100m each...where did that come from.
Edwards WAS a top prospect but cocked it up by acting like a plank. He may come good , who knows. Has that transfer been confirmed. Seems a big fee between Portuguese clubs. If he is thought to be that good i’m Surprised wolves haven’t snapped him up.
I honestly thought Parrott was going to be a first team player. Watching him now I just don’t know. Always thought he was a centre forward but seems to be played as a number 10 or wide in a 3 by Ipswich and Ireland. Big season for him coming up. Needs a good loan to try and get going.
At the moment it’s up in the air. If Scarlett is as good asMourinho said then that’s big competition for Parrott.
