We’ve wasted millions on cheap turds and again been embarrassed this window by lack of ambition looking to start the season with Winks and Hojberg in the middle

Chelsea just came off a transfer ban and a season of playing a ton of their youth. They are moving forward having made some great additions to their squad and having those same young players continuing to improve. Not a chance that last year was anywhere close to their best.
United also played some young players and had a weak (for them) squad that they strengthened by adding Fernandes mid-season.
With them having a full season of Fernandes, Greenwood getting better and potentially adding Henderson and Sancho I doubt that last year was anything close to their best.
