I did st to a lesser extent but they do have numbers. Which is what we need as well but better quality. The goons do not have 5-6 top quality forwards to any extent at all mate. That’s plain wrong
Who are these mythical beasts of whom you speak?I did st to a lesser extent but they do have numbers. Which is what we need as well but better quality.
100% agree. Although may be could have done some sort of player swap plus cash for raphina.Conte has use such players in every team he was.
Fabregas in Chelsea, Brozovic, Barella in Inter, Pirlo, Vidal and Pogba in Juventus.
While some people on here may have learn about Conte after his stay at Chelsea i watched him way before that.
Also not getting a CM(DLP type of player), we are handicapping ourselves against tight teams, it was so obvious how much we struggle last season against them. And we pretty much are screw to use 3-5-2 to it's full potential. It's always great to have option and to be able to change formation and surprise your opposition. For certain teams we definitely need to play with 3 in the center.
And how do you know what Conte wants or need? Neither do i know, neither do you. We also don't know .
And obviously i'm going to share what i think we need, from my point of view.
And yeah such type of player that is the architect of the game is needed in every team.
As well as magician type of player, like what Conte have in Hazard in his stay at Chelsea.
We still lack that type of player that is great at 1vs1 and can easily unlock opponents defense.
Raphinha would have been great, but probably the price was too much for us, and we didn't go all the way.
Nice to have some perspective.Wow! I for one cannot believe this is Tottenham, for all those longer term fans are we all collectively thinking we’re in some kind of dream sequence??
4 solid and necessary signings before preseason has even started?!? In addition to the two top quality signings during the January window?! I still remember the harrowing winter of Ryan Nelson.
This sort of activity is all very unheard for Spurs and I am all for it! Nobody pinch me for I do not wish to wake up.
Plus we helped them out on the fee for dele and are also gonna sell them winks for £20m or whatever. There will be a while to go on this as I expect it’s not a straight forward deal to do when taking those things into consideration.
100% agree. Although may be could have done some sort of player swap plus cash for raphina.
dogshit
we are going to offer 6 mill salary and 5 mill loan fee for this clown

When we were linked with Mane before Liverpool got him, most our fans thought 30m was massively over priced and 20m would be about right, but by the end of the transfer window, most realised actually, it was about right (or at least not that bad) and by the end of the season, most realised it was actually a bargain.£60m is hugely overpriced tbh. Especially as we got screwed on the Dele deal too. Hope we can get £20m out of Winks, that would only be a £5m overpay.
It’s vaguely worded, but I think it is saying that we’re paying Barca 5m total and that includes partial payment of his salary, with the implication being that Barca are picking up the rest. So a pretty favorable price.
I don’t mind getting Lenglet as a rotation option if we also get someone like Bremer.
Obviously I'd prefer Bastoni or Gvaridol, but if our top options aren't available getting Lenglet for basically just a portion of his wages and no obligation to keep him if he's shit is really not a bad option. We'd barely be paying anything and can send him back at the end of the year if it doesn't work out.Yep, his wages are 6m yearly. We’re basically saying well loan him and only pay 5m of his wages, according to that tweet anyway
If we believe Bastoni and Gvardiol are so much better than the rest for LCB then it’s better to wait. It’s what Liverpool did with VVD and Alisson. The caveat is with Conte it’s hard to plan long-term.Obviously I'd prefer Bastoni or Gvaridol, but if our top options aren't available getting Lenglet for basically just a portion of his wages and no obligation to keep him if he's shit is really not a bad option. He was a top notch player at Sevilla, played quite a lot in the last Barcelona title season, and has been involved in French national team which is stacked with CBs.
It's really quite similar with what happened to Bentancur and Kulusevski at Juve. Barcelona has been unsettled by managerial changes and terrible squad mismanagement and thus the player has fallen off. I also think he's a much more natural fit in a back three than back two, where his lack of pace won't be exposed and he'll be allowed to have a big role in possession. He's genuinely one of the best ball playing centerbacks in the world.
Very low risk deal if it is on those terms and I imagine it also means we'll be getting another CB too. I think they just want Lenglet as another left-footed option alongside Davies more than anything. We know that we were willing to spend 50-60m on Bastoni, that money won't have disappeared and it won't be sucked up by Lenglet either.
Spence I agree with, but can't think of a single quality RWB that is attainable that fits what Conte wants, so I'm ok going with a player with potential, that is HG for relatively low outlay.Lenglet, Spence, Richarlison....got to be honest that doesnt feel like a cash rich champions league team that wants to push Liverpool and City. I'd hope we have something else up our sleeve.
