Who is this better player? .......We spent more than that on Reg, believing he was just about to blow up as a worldie.
Depends on the cost and ability of the replacement.
Agree - hence the question. Not sure that at the lower sum, we would sell as too many other holes in squad with better upgrade potential. Regulion is not necessarily the best but he's not bad either
We need to churn players this summer and preferably for decent money…. I would hope all of them bar Kane, Romero and Skipp are up for grabs if the price is right and we have replacements lined up
Raphina linked with both Liverpool and Barcelona, so not sure we would get him
Bissouma outplayed by Bentancur last match so not sure ? .... plus uncertainty over assault case.
Ward Prowse great free kicks but not an upgrade otherwise.
Don't disagree but think its unrealistic to think of more than say 6 players in ..... and I can think of 6 others to upgrade before Reguilon. But he'd be on a back up list if we found a much better LWB at a reasonable price

I like those centre mids, JWP would be a replacement for PEH IMO. We need a better passer like Neves too…. Those two plus Skipp and Benta with PEH and Winks gone would be sweet
It would make too much sense for Juve to go in for him. He'd tear Serie A apart and Juve need a LB.
I've turned around on JWP a lot this season. He's not much of a difference maker in open play, but his set-pieces alone have so much value to a team. Especially when you're trying to bridge a gap to the likes of Liverpool and City, you're not going to rival them in the league by playing possession dominant football to a higher standard than they're capable of.
Yeah but of a clogger in open play but he’s ok, certainly better than Winks and probably PEH but free kicks / corners are a game changer
If you're bringing him in you commit fully to it imo, and when you're bringing in players for wingback roles and LCB you're making height and aerial threat big priorities.

Neves might leave Wolves - but think several large clubs including ManU and Liverpool would be in the queue and with his contract not up for a couple of years fee would be large.
Tielmans contract has only a year to go, so think he might be a more realistic target

Hence it's a bad idea selling PEH.... He a perfectly viable squad player.

Its tough fitting that number of players into a 25 man squad (assuming we can get 4 Club trained and 4 other HG players in yhe squad) if Conte wants to play with 3 CB's at yhe back (so minimum 5 and probably 6 CB's in squad), so 4 or maximum 5 CM's is probably the limit
1 or 2 multi-purpose players would help.
Eriksen can serve multi-purpose.
352 - CM
343 - AM
Sarr may get a go early in the season before going out on loan in Jan (or may get loaned straight back out in the summer).
However you wanna slice it 4 is simply not enough..... Esp. not the first half of the season when you've got 4 comps to juggle.
Think how thin we are right now.
3 x GK
4 x WBs (Berg)
5 x CBs
6 x CMs (CE)
6 x AM/STs (CE + Berg)
= 24 players. (or 22***)
(***Eriksen & a WF that can deputise at WB would be helpful on that front.... Maybe Kulu as CM or AM too.)

Currently we are struggling to get to 25 man squad as too few HG's (UEFA definition).
But lets say we buy 3 HG players (and replace Winks) so we get to 25. That is then
3 x GK
6 x CB's (if we play 3 atb)
4 x WB's (and they probably do more running tyhan anyone else)
4 x CM's
4 x AM's
2 x Strikers
Total 23, so we can have a maximum of 2 others.
As you say some multi purpose players essential
I would also like to see more youngsters playing - not counted in the 25 man squad. But seemingly Conte isn't up for that
I can forgive him for that given how the season has played out and the fact that he didn't even arrive until after the early rounds of the cups were done and dusted.
We have a better view of his intentions with a pre-season under his belt..... Especially if we aren't fortunate enough to make CL and have EL group games to blood players in.
