Spence is young, English and the best championship RB of last season.

With a manager known for getting the best out of wingbacks he would absolutely not be an underwhelming signing.

It won't happen, but Lukaku is a proven premier League goalscorer and Conte player. Always have 2 out of Son/Kane/Lukaku on the pitch would be very good for us, sign Eriksen too so one of Eriksen/Kulusevski is on the pitch as well and our attack would be fantastic, especially with our improved wingbacks.

Kane is also so good that if you wanted all three on the field, Kane becomes number ten, Son and Lukaku ahead of him coming from the left and right inside forward positions (a lot of Lukaku's best football is when he comes in on his left foot, running from that right channel off the ball).

But I don't think it will happen unless Chelsea are desperate to sell and have no good offers.
I can't agree with that.

Playing Lukaku with Son would just nullify Son. Lukaku just doesn't have the ability to interlink play up front. He's a striker that gets in the end of a move, not one that can drop deep and get involved in the movement of the ball. I really think he'd be a bigger flop with us than with Chelsea.

Alessandro Bastoni
James Ward-Prowse
Leroy Sane
Andre Silva

If we spent £200 million on those four, I would class it as good business.

Just because you don't, doesn't mean others don't. Nor does it mean I do.

I just have a bit more respect for the fact that others can see what I can't.
Yeah which is kind of implicit in the struggling... see it bit.... no? Its an objective fact that other than race and bald they just don't look alike. As I say prehaps your too old for the Stomzy one he usually illicits.

It’s not that it’s underwhelming, it’s just that he’s about two to three years away from what we need now.

It’s a typical Spurs signing. Potential (which is genuine) over experience.

City wouldn’t buy Spence. They would buy Hakimi. Which is of course financially understandable.

Will be underwhelmed after all this talk of investment if we go in to the season with Doherty and Spencer as rwb options.

On the flip side, I wasn't impressed by our January business at the time either and was delighted with lo celso and ndomebele so who knows how it will turn out
