Conte likes both 3-4-3 and 3-5-2, he played 3-5-2 with Inter because he had the midfield options, last season we didn't for the most part.

3-4-3 is a great option for us but we don't have an out and out replacement for Kulusevski so with the extra AM he could change mid game or vice versa.

Worth remembering that arguably our best two performances came playing 3-5-2 last season.

all about options the more talent and options Conte has the better he will do, Maddison or someone like him could be a very astute signing allowing us to change up how we play when needed.

I'd say it's his preferred system.
