Yep. Backline though?100% regarding "roster", but "back" has always been interchangeable with "defense"

It's "defense"Defence not backline
Squad not roster
Sorry to be a pedant and I welcome the international community to our sport and league but I really dislike the use of language that has never ever applied to football in this country. It was always squad and defence, the other terms such as roster didn't ever exist in any way, shape or form when it came to football.
Please respect our terminology and use it. Thanks.
Only in the US of A sunshine
Right after he bulked last summer, and, sadly got pelters for highlighting his physiology may suffer carrying such bulk…
Oh well, the odd poster(s) get it.
Backline has been used a fair bit; obviously the most common is back 4, but the "(whatever team) backline" is something I have heard a lot ever since I can remember (my first live game in attendance was in 94, I'm a child of the premier league).
Them other countries don't matter. US of fucking A! Hooo yaaah!
Defence not backline
Squad not roster

Really not a big deal though is it?
I wonder if this could get interesting. La Liga refusing to register players until Barcelona puts into action its financial plan of selling off players, reducing wages bill and then being allowed to sign new players at a fraction of transfer fees received and wage s reduced.
I think he means the first year as a loan + the 5 once it is permanent makes it pretty much a 6 year deal.
Which might be why we hold off on activating the Kulusevski deal until next summer… then we’d have him under contract for 6.5 years.
Really not a big deal though is it?
People can use whatever language they like as far as I'm concerned. People from all over the world on this forum. More cunts the better I say

Never said it was a big deal and welcomed people from all over the world as part of my original post.Really not a big deal though is it?

Too late. You do realize that over here we have some absolute buffoons who do commentary that make words up on the fly don't you?Absolutely.........
However, I propose we invade baseball & NFL and start giving everything really stupid names for revenge.![]()
I think the way it works is that if a 12 (or 18 month loan for Kulusevski) is agreed with either an option or an obligation, a proforma contract is agreed with both club and player such that if the option/obligation is exercised all parties know the terms of the player transfer.
Peasants. They might seem him as the future, but let’s get our dick out and swing it in their faces. They cant compete with financial powerhouses like usNo chance Milan sell him. He's the future of their backline, and he's signing a new deal.
Bang on...also if you call the changing rooms the 'locker room' the death penalty should be mandatory.Defence not backline
Squad not roster
