I'm sure there's some truth in this, but the phrasing of all this stuff cracks me up.

Do we think Levy is sitting in his office and sees a Madrid phone number pop up and he yells to some underling, "someone go tell Paul they're calling!!"
Genuinely though, there seems to be someone in the club just in constant fucking contact with O Keefe, how does it go on?

Some of the fans on here give it the old "there always has to a scapegoat" when people move on to the next weakest link in the squad.

Well with various minor improvements, Skipp is rapidly becoming that scapegoat.

I would counter the negative connotation fans use when pointing that finger at other fans with - there are a lot of fans who massively over rate our youth and under rate others.

Chelsea have sold a fucking tone of youth for loads of money.
Who have we sold other than Kane?

Poch sold about 10 for £100m, didn't coach any other than Winks into First Team squad - and we have been struggling to build a strong squad through lack of Club trained and HG players ever since.

Complete naivety to ignore the need to coach academy kids through to the first team which has become a bigger and bigger problem all the way to today.

Situation as of today :
Club Trained
Skip, Austin (3rd GK) ......... plus Tanganga, Whiite

Trained by other clubs affiliated to The FA/FAW :
Maddison, Forster, Davies ........... Spence, Sessegnon
And with Forster and Davies likely to depart next summer, that leaves ONE quality HG

So in total, in reality, Spurs currently have maybe 3 HG players going forward (Skipp, Maddison, Austin as 3rd GK) to fill 8 places.

So the cost of not coaching the youth through to the first team is big :
(1) We are restricted in numbers of players in the squad as insufficient HG players
(2) Cost to buy HG players at a premium

Maybe Poch saw the academy was failing to pick up talent.
10 players for £100m is just deadwood quite frankly. The best players we've actually sold for money? Winks, Carrol? Mason, Townsend, Bentaleb? It's all so fucking average.

Chelsea get £30-£60m for their youth, who aren't all great but way better than those.
