Why? Why should we be signing a 31-year old for Ange?
 
Maybe Poch saw the academy was failing to pick up talent.
10 players for £100m is just deadwood quite frankly. The best players we've actually sold for money? Winks, Carrol? Mason, Townsend, Bentaleb? It's all so fucking average.

Chelsea get £30-£60m for their youth, who aren't all great but way better than those.
Chelsea bought Madueke, our fucking academy product. Edwards as well would've probably been a starter by now if Poch managed to keep him.
 
Genuine question for any accountants here - do you know the difference between 'loan with obligation to buy' and 'permanent transfer with payments spread over a number of years' (which is surely pretty much all transfers). Don't they effectively amount to exactly the same thing? :/
The loan with obligation means you can put the transfer off for a year. So no initial cost, unlike a transfer.
