I am pretty sure...not.
Sorry, but which top player wanna join Spurs the way the club is heading now? At least Conte was able to attract quality players but I can't see Ange being able to attract any top talent really...simply because, at 58, he's never worked with any top talent ever in his whole coaching career.
And I really hope to be proven wrong

Tbh the club doesn't pay for top players. Levy's model will never be to shop from the top shelf, even if that player is exactly what the team needs.

Ange coming in will likely be back to the Poch days of recruitment, buying young, hungry players that want to run and press all day.

i do wonder who we can attract now, with cl we still signed fairly average players so I'm not hoping for much now

Players signed before Poch arrived included Lloris, Walker, Rose, Vertonghen, Dembele, (Mason and Bentaleb, first choice CM's in Poch first season), Lamela, Kane et al - none big names before coming to Spurs.

So we will probably be looking for comparable players - all with potential. So think of more Romero, Bentancur level players. Sometimes we'll need to bring in 'squad players' but we have the numbers in the squad now - so all coming in should be better than what we have (obviously if Kane goes, we are unlikely to be able to bring in a player to improve)

I think we are moving from 'big name managers' to bringing in a coach who can make the best of the squad he inherits and improves improves them through coaching and incoming players

I’m not against having a proper look at Kyogo to come in from Celtic. Has 40 in 60 for them in the last two seasons and he scores in finals and derbies, so not scared of a big game.

Keep Harry for the season at least and have this guy come in as and when. Like Harry he can also drop further back, so a good option at £20m.

You think he would do well in the Prem? I'm not sure, I think Hatate would be brilliant

Fuck knows mate. Thought Soldado was the second coming and was convinced Kane would end up at Portsmouth, so wouldn’t rely on me here. Just like what I see of him. Clever player. Almost constantly offside until the second he can’t be and he’s in. Very fast, good finisher and not that expensive.

But he could be utter shite. 🙄

I think the appointment of Ange & the lack of European football means we're in for a full rebuild, with an emphasis on a high energy game & creating a positive, peak Poch, culture at the club.

Kane wil llikely say "I don't have time for a rebuild & want to win trophies & play CL now". If he's prepared to move his family to Spain, then Levy will get the best deal possible out of RealMad to ensure yanited's ordinary team isn't massively upgraded by the signing of H.

We will desperately miss Kane's goals & creativity. But Ange will then have a freer hand to create a high press, high energy, tactically flexible team like his Celtic formations.

Ange's first task will be to rapidly decide whether any of our expensive returning midfield loanees - Ndomble, GLC, Winks - can be part of his system and culture. If not, get them out asap for as much as we can.

And deciding what we're doing in the FB/WB area. Is Perisic leaving? Are Porro, Udogie, Reguilon & Sess suitable for his system?

And, crucially, who plays CB with Romero.?

If Kane leaves, I think Richarlison will be given the opportunity to be the new CF fulcrum. He is Brazil's Number 9. Psychologically, if Ange tells Richarlison he's now the main man and he's relying on him, then we know he'll give his best. And Richarlison will probably have until Xmas to demonstrate whether he can thrive in the new system with the new responsibility.

If he can't, then the rebuild will continue.

It's too early in the morning for me, I thought you meant 8 x Left backs for a minute there.

Guess we need to balance up the squad with the numb er of RWBs we have....

It’s not much about CL unless you have a player that specifically demands it, it’s money, Chelsea can still buy with or without CL.
Bingo

Levy will be going to the "Hail Mary" budget this summer. He's hoping for 10 Dele Alli's.

Would Kane suit a high energy game,He’s not the fastest and wanders all over the pitch, often strolling but knows where to be to get a shot at goal. This is not a criticism.
