Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Its clear that we do not have the full picture on the Ndombele situation.

Heard a lot of rumblings that he doesn't like England due to the weather and culture - and regretted the move from day 1. Word is that he visited Liverpool and ask the driver to return to the airport on the way to the meeting.

He's a fucking professional footballer, not a lifestyle blogger.

He's getting paid 200k per week so I really don't give a shit how painful it is to him that London isn't as beautiful and picturesque as the south of France.

At some point the bullshit excuses have to stop. Is he a professional or a joker?

Of course, I agree; but we are where we are. He doesn't want to be here and it seems none of the cards are in our favour when it comes to selling him.

He's been criticized for being overweight and unmotivated going back to his youth days.

At some point "you" have to stop blaming problems on the scenery and focus on the only constant involved.
Just needs his head and attitude fixed - just pay a top psychologist to assist who he gets on well with.
We’ve seen how stunningly brilliant he can be on a few occasions - potentially he’s the regular starter who could ensure fourth and Champions League football next season.

Maybe he has been honest with each coach - he doesn't want to stay; so there is no point in us developing him as a player; only for somebody else to benefit.

Given the transfer fee paid, we cannot terminate his contract; and I am sure behind the scene's we are working on shifting him out as soon as the money starts flowing in european football again
If only there was some kind of search thing on the internet to be able to see what the place was like you were going to work .

if he went to Spain it would be too hot , Germany , too Germanic . Always an excuse .
I’m sure he’s happy enough to accept the 200k he gets paid . He’s acting like a petulant child.

So bored of this cunt.

Wish we had got him out the door for a proper footballer but now he's still hanging around it will be interesting to see whether Nuno can get him motivated/fit enough to play a part before January.

Genuinely amazes me that certain fans believe a player needs, or is entitled to, extra ‘motivation’ above and beyond getting 200k a week.
Sounds logical but I reality it is not . Human beings are complex and different, do you think Ferguson did not motivate players in different ways . The last title winning team he had was shocking and he somehow dragged them to the title.
Having said that you have to be willing to be motivated, seen no sign of this from him, I doubt Fergie could get a tune out of him, so not sure why I bothered writing this, please ignore

Yeah, life doesn't work like that. Of course it's a factor, but if anything, you could ask "why bother working my arse off when I'm already set for life?". He could literally stop being a footballer tomorrow and be better off than 99% of us on here.

It's like trying to understand why rich people have similar suicide rates to poor people - everything is relative to your situation.

Clearly he struggled with work ethic as a younger player, hence the stories of him being unfit. He found the motivation once to rise to the top, but staying there is a different challenge.

Either we find a way to unlock that motivation again, or move him on to somewhere and take a hit on the transfer fee. Its clearly a psychological issue.

Sure. Fully understand it doesn’t work like that for everybody.

Just underlines we’ve likely bought a dud. It *should* work like that for a professional athlete.

Anyway, let’s see how he does this season.

Why so?

I understand the full glorious canopy of human emotions. It’s simply that professional sport is rather simplistic. You have to perform, otherwise you’re moved on.

I’m bored of him. It’s a sideshow.
He’s not exactly kicking off publicly - it’s the fanbase that have been whipped up. Let’s see how he looks playing in a solid, functioning side
