Do we know who the teams were?
Not as good as ours, let’s be fair here…

Season 5 Idk GIF by Paramount+

We were top after 12 games under Mourhino but there was always a feeling of us getting found out eventually.

It was also the no crowd season due to Covid.

We had 25 points after 12 games when we were top going into December 2020 if anyone's interested.

(Finished 7th)

They didn't divulge that.

That's also the furthest we've been into a season and been top. 12 games. 🤣

Was a weird season that if I recall, City started really badly and were 8th at one point, Everton were top at one point, no-one could sustain any form.

I'm relatively calm for Chelsea. I think our players, manager and fans will get us well up for it.

I actually worry about Wolves away though. They can nullify but also damage you on the counter. O'Neil has really impressed me.

Villa too
Yeah Chelsea I’m relatively confident of overrunning even if they get a goal early. They’re not as fit as we are. Wolves and Villa are definitely danger games

Of course it's easy to look at Newcastle, Villa, City, Brighton being tricky games we havent played so far.

Would be saying the same about Liverpool, Woolwich, United, Brentford had we not played them already.

Momentum is huge in football. Woolwich's season last year was based on that foundation. The tricky games become slightly less tricky when playing with momentum and confidence.

I don't think we will complete the season unbeaten, but we have a fair crack of doing that at game again.

Top 6 goal difference suggests they will be the Top6 come seasons end.

11 points above the Billion pound team, after 9 games.

:bissoumahear:
That's a VERY good point. It's only 9 games in and our GD is 3 times higher than 7th place Brighton. It could easily have been more too.

I'd expect the gap to get bigger, unless there's a big resurgance from the non top 6, and I can only picture Brighton and Chavs pulling that off.

Honestly, check how many times the riggers, the dippers and arse face 'tough opposition' back to back

We have two blocks of four monster games this season. Not one other team has a fixture list like that.

cry more spurs fans? Pffft!

Chelsea have lost 2 and drawn 1 last 3 games v Bees.
Wolves v Newc interesting.
Everton unlucky IMO v Liverpool.

Good chance we have more than 25 points after 12 games this year.

That's the thing this season. City actually started hot unusually, Woolwich are unbeaten and just spent 200m, Liverpool spunked both nuts on CMs and look like they are on the way back BUT we are still top.

Not sure we have ever been top when other teams haven't been playing badly?

All of woolwich next 3 have banana skin potential. Shef UTD are stubborn away from home and Wham at home are not easy. Newcastle probably favourite at home against anyone.
