Paulinho had 56 Brazil caps.WestHam problem were 2 fold - They could not get the ball to their creative players in right places... And when they do, they didnt have striker option who were good enough to finish them. On top of it they were defensively woeful as well
Paqueta has 55 Brazil caps - Just on this alone, you know how highly he is thought in Brazil. Also personally , now out of the betting troubles means he can play more free.
I would rather take the risk on Paqueta than sign Grealish who has barely played in 3 seasons

Gives a year though to scout for a younger clone though.Exactly
Palinha will be better than those 3 but it’s still a short term loan for a quick fix.

I agree that we need a midfield passer, someone with some creativity. We needed that before Maddison’s injury.Simons is by all accounts an extremely good footballer beyond the stats with very good fundamentals.
As it happens I’ve seen him a few times. He’s very obviously good at football.
I don’t advocate for anything but maybe we could possibly if Levy’s feeling really nice spend some solid money on erm .. someone after the injury to Maddison and retirement of a legend? Maybe just something which excites the fans. Pretty please baldy?
Because the upcoming season has all the anticipation of a wet fart currently. What are we excited for other than a clean slate and hope? Our attack and midfield has all the flair and excitement of a plant pot.
Mate I was joking , I don’t work for a bankNo mate, I'm not doubting what you do for a living.
I don't believe there is additional investment coming in from either internally or externally as of yet.
Ssssshhhh!WE MAKE MORE MONEY THAN CHELSH!T AND YET!!!!!!
WHENEVER THEY WANT A PLAYERS, BOOM! GETS DONE WITHIN DAYS.
WHY DO WE ALWAYS HAVE TO DRAG DEALS, OVERTHINK THEM, TRY TO GET A BARGAIN WHEN WE FULLY KNOW WE NEED THAT PLAYER?!!!!!!!!
HOW DO THEY DO IT.
WHO EVER IS RUNNING THEIR RECRUITING AND CONTRACTING SHOULD BE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR CEO/OWNER/GM/SCOUT/FOOTBALL DIRECTOR.
Did they?People argued Werner was a good signing relentlessly and even whilst he was doing Werner stuff for us it took like halfway in to his second season before they accepted he sucked.
The Brennan Johnson of Central midfielders.I rate Paulinho too... (blasphemy!)
He was just a wrong player in a wrong team. For all the nonsense thats laid at his feet, he did score 8 goals in 37 games in his first season. For a midfielder thats a great return. Its just he is a wrong type and we didnt need him at that time. He was not technically good - we just assumed he should have been...Instead of playing to his strengths we misused him. He didnt last 2 seasons in the end. After his chinese stint, he went to Barcelona & then scored 9 goals in a season...
We just act poor.I'm sure we would get a replacement if it was within our means
Sadly we are very poor
After Frank get sacked because we didn’t give him any players to work with.Said this weeks ago. Makes sense. Even as a loan.
Doubt we are going to spring tens of millions on another 10, when we’ll eventually have Maddison and Kulu back at some point.
Just my opinion that we won’t, not that we shouldn’t, before the fucking pitchforks come out.
I'll hold my hand up as someone positive on Werner for longer than I should have been
I don’t like City , but they got something rightWe have a bad relationship with Man City. They can't stand Levy![]()
5 years ago, we had just finished above Liverpool 9 seasons in a row. How did we let it get so messed up?If Harvey Elliot is the answer to this, that’s genuinely embarrassing for Spurs and also for the Premier League.
If a supposed big 6 club is so far behind Liverpool that we are forced to feed off their scraps and fund their big moves for superstars, the league is only getting even more boring than last year
