Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wonder what’s happening regarding the savinho deal gone very quiet now, apart from hotspur88 on SC claiming it was pretty much a done deal but we all know that’s a load of bollocks.Love to see us get him though.
His agents flew over to England and he was left out of the city squad due to an “injury” that pep conveniently forgot about until the day before the city match.

Pep also said his squad is too big and needs departures.

There’s been no legit news that the savinho deal is off and the word from pep seems to indicate the transfer is doable.

The weekend was xmas.
Santa is Levy.
Eze is a bike.

This is for you

Remember that time SkySports said ‘we have some big breaking news about a Real Madrid player coming to the Premier League, find out more after the break’

And then in those 3mins. Van der Vaart was announced.

Such simpler times. I miss it.
Remember when Sky were the most reliable source in football? Ever since Ornstein and later Romano became the ones, they’ve been playing catch up, they’re damn near BBC Sport now where you’ll see the article come out ages after the news has already become widely known.

This is nonsense.
He just said "when the window shuts"
We all know it has to SLAM shut.
slam window shut GIF

BBC, in fairness, don't tend to report gossip and wait for it to be actual news.
Used to be a case of "once it's on BBC, there's probably some weight to this"

so what window rating are we thinking if it's Eze and no one else?

Would be three really decent signings in Kudus , Eze and Palhina

But as always would be leaving us short in key areas

Good question.

In that scenario we'd have Kudus, Eze and Palhinha brought for straight up starters.
Plus then to young CB's added too...

Before Madders injury I would have been quite OK with #10 position and would have prioritized another winger on top of Kudus to come in. At the same time back then I would have really wanted another ST in. As things stand now (Richie form) I think we'd be OK with Richie + Solanke + likely Tel as depth option.

So in short- current deals + Eze would be 6,5 for me.
In ideal world we'd add also Savinho/Kubo (another top winger), 1 more midfielder (Biss out; would need one in too) + 1 fullback (currently 3 players for 2 positions).
Bringing also on Savinho/Kubo would make it 7,5 or 8. To get 10 remaining 2 positions would have to be addressed.

With regards to songs for Eze best stick with the one he already has i.e. 'eze's on fire' much prefer something with a bit of bounce to get the crowd going rather than a sleepy ballad.

Hopefully we're not singing 'the one that got away ' or I predict a riot.
