£40m release clause for Delap when Ipswich get relegated. Should be all over that. We probably won't.
Will Ipswich take 12 million over 8 years and Delap take 50% less in salary than others are offering. If so I think we have a realistic chance of being able to say “we tried”£40m release clause for Delap when Ipswich get relegated. Should be all over that. We probably won't.

Gittens is a very good player but he’ll be another in the Johnson, Odobert, Tel development stage. By all means I would sign him but we desperately need some experience in attack and by that I don’t mean someone who’s over the hill and in decline or just outright crap like Werner.
The elephant in the room regarding Delap is that City has a buy back clause I believe. If someone else activates the release clause City can just activate the buy back and it comes down to the player where he wants to go.Someone surely already has a deal done for him. That is a great bargain.
Apparently he's pretty sensible so I cant see him going to Man U. Hope he doesnt end up at the scum.

Oh yeah man, I'm with you. God knows I do miss the likes of Ginola, Okocha, Gazza, Zola, Cantona...heck even Hazard & Bergkamp. They were proper unreal to watch, you never knew what to expect. Not it's all so damn robotic...fuck you, Pep.Mavericks always need good management. They aren't the same as your Mr predictable talisman types or your workhorse runners and ball-winners. You don't build your team around them but Spurs and the Premier League in general is drastically lacking maverick players who can do the things others don't even think of.
There are too many boring, predictable players in this league. Bring us a peak Dele attitude or even a younger Son who would try and dribble the entire pitch or take 3 shots from 20 yards. Who is trying a cute backheel or a flick over their head in this team? The type of move or goal that you go home from a game remembering and discussing for years? The only one I can see trying anything is maybe Bergvall but he hasn't pulled one off yet.
What was the last goal in the Premier League that you can remember being worth talking about?
You can pretty much ignore all the free agent links between now and June, it's just agents putting their players out there before they end up at Leeds.Calvert Lewin as a free agent? My God. What must the likes of Scarlett and Lankshear think of that

That said, you can be a maverick without being a little prick, otherwise we may as well sign friggin Ravel Morrison.
I really don't want Cherki here. Sure the kid can dribble, very good pair of feet he has. But he's been a pro for over 6 years, got 150 leagues under his belt for just 18 goals...5 of which he scored in the French equivalent to League Two...7 of them goals he's bagged this season, but before that he got 1, 4, 0 and 1. And despite his performances for Lyon this season, I know a fair few of their fans who'd happily get rid of him. They don't like his attitude, they don't see him as a team player...they ain't comparing him to Benzema but to Ben Arfa, who was a right dickhead.
Let Everton or the caravan merchants have him.
Even if we go after him, he'll have better suitors. They'll offer him more money, but more importantly, a far more stable environment and a genuine chance to win shit.£40m release clause for Delap when Ipswich get relegated. Should be all over that. We probably won't.
Is there no chance he just wants to put himself in the shop window and bag a sick paycheck from say...a club notorious for not doing their due diligence? Is there no chance he was young and dumb but he’s matured this year which explains the massive jump in performances?

Also, he may wanna get away from OL who are threatened with relegation to Ligue 2 (or lower) for financial mismanagement.
Let's see what happens.Maybe both?
He’s clocked that growing up and behaving like a professional is his ticket out of OL and getting that sick paycheck?
