Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You got to be joking, Kulusevski, the same medicore player who plays well for 6 weeks then disappears for months in end, the same player who loses the ball but does nothing to try retrieve it , the same clown who lost the ball at the edge of pools box today and jogged back like he hadn't a care in the world and they knocked in their fourth goal.
Leaders lead by example and he ain't setting it, see the likes of Roy Keane or Bryan Robson who would die for their teams and deal with those who would not, Kulu simply does not have these qualities and it's hard to see who has in this group.
I agree that Kulu is not the leader for Spurs needs, but if you compare players to the leadership qualities of Roy Keane, majority of players (even his team-mates at that time) would fall short. His leadership qualities were unique.
But his style worked partly because Man Utd at that time had a manager in Sir Fergie who could control the psycho Roy Keane and Man Utd were a winning team. Ledley King and Harry Kane were also a leaders without being a mental cases.
Besides, in today's football, with VAR, Roy Keane could have been sent off every other game

Richard Kone's wiki page is well worth reading. Played in the Homeless World Cup in 2019. Still only 21.

Our expensive signings have been the worst ones Over £200m on
Richarlison , Johnson, Solanke, possibly Gray.

I have no idea where to go - other than buy players with genuinely good technique.

Tel looks no better than Moore. We would have spent £50m on him.

It is always going to come back to wages. Top players with good technique will be attracted to top wage offers.

There are plenty of (non-elite) players we could realistically challenge for if our approach was different, even given our current shitstorm.

Take it with a pinch of salt as it’s Matt Law..

But would anyone really be shocked? They aren’t here for the football side anymore, it’s the stadium and the revenue that generates now. We’ll become mid table in the next 2-3 years regardless of the manager, all because the owners are just happy to have a premier league team.

Won't be tough trading, if we aren't in Europe next season we need to downsize the squad significantly

I don't believe this.

It's obvious that our summer will be shit, even if we somehow qualify for the CL.

The PR team has already opened the Word doc with all the ready-made excuses. The CFO is already calculating our record-breaking wage-to-turnover ratio. Daniel is already getting a 'Thank You' hamper from Joe.

Yet, some genuinely believe we gonna go on a mad shopping spree, pay top wages and fix all our needs.

Only expensive things Daniel will sign are new property deals. The only shiny stuff we'll bring in are new commercial partners & superstar concerts.

Despite the massive wage bill slash they’ve been pulling for 2 years?

Still wouldn’t put it past them.

It they have to invest their own money, they won’t and that’s why they don’t win. They haven’t earned it.

Even when sold some of the value they’d gained on the value of the club, not all of it went into transfers

Are we spending £200 million?

We've been spending circa £150m pa on transfers for last couple of years.

If you look at last summer as an example - Solanke £60m, Gray £40m, Odobert £25m, Bergvall £20m (ish). And in January Kinsky £15m ish, Danso loan with obligation, Tel loan with option.

So £200m is possible but :
- we have a full squad so need to sell some players, which wil give us more funds to spend but hassle to sell them.
- lots of competition for good players eg ManU squad is in need to bigger rebuild than ours, so availability of players will be an issue.

On another note. Göykeres scored his 7th hattrick of the season yesterday. Now he's scored 52 goals, all competitions this season. Also there was some press, here in Sweden last week (I think). That sporting has lowered his buy out clause to about €70M.

Still staggers me that no PL club seemed to be interested enough to bid when he went from Coventry to Sporting.
