Eh really? Ange was a pretty positive guy. He had some good talks. We were just wayyyy too easy to beat and didn’t seem to appreciate how much the small details can make a difference at this level and how thin the margins really are. I think he got too much shtick on the personality front.
I don't mean they're different on a positivity-negativity front, I just mean in their whole outlook on the game.Ange was in no way not positive. It was his system and lack of in game coaching that fucked him.
Ange the vibes merchant and true-believing ideologue who only cared about one aspect of the game and preached that as the cosmological purpose of football with utterly stubborn conviction.
Frank the nibbly little tinker man just unassumingly playing Mr. Fix It with every player and coach, just trying to improve and optimize every little nook and cranny with the belief that the sum of those little things adds up to wins.
Ange: "Go out there and play our football right or wrong, win or lose, because to do any differently would betray our supporters and the meaning of the game and my late father would be ashamed of me"
Frank: "Hey guys, remember to look for balls in behind during attacking transition like we practiced in training, okay?"
