Eh really? Ange was a pretty positive guy. He had some good talks. We were just wayyyy too easy to beat and didn’t seem to appreciate how much the small details can make a difference at this level and how thin the margins really are. I think he got too much shtick on the personality front.
Ange was in no way not positive. It was his system and lack of in game coaching that fucked him.
I don't mean they're different on a positivity-negativity front, I just mean in their whole outlook on the game.

Ange the vibes merchant and true-believing ideologue who only cared about one aspect of the game and preached that as the cosmological purpose of football with utterly stubborn conviction.

Frank the nibbly little tinker man just unassumingly playing Mr. Fix It with every player and coach, just trying to improve and optimize every little nook and cranny with the belief that the sum of those little things adds up to wins.

Ange: "Go out there and play our football right or wrong, win or lose, because to do any differently would betray our supporters and the meaning of the game and my late father would be ashamed of me"

Frank: "Hey guys, remember to look for balls in behind during attacking transition like we practiced in training, okay?"

I am far more confident that we will be competitive in London derbies under Frank, especially against Chelsea and Woolwich.

Under Ange there was no point even turning up, we rolled over and gave them 6 points every season. It was shocking.

First Ange and then Frank. Can't make this shit up.

Of all the managers in the world, you pick those. Is this on Lange too?

Look forward to a season of long throws and set pieces as the main method of attacking.

First European trophy in 40 odd years and a manager who's seen as one of the best tacticians in the league who's made every forward he's had far better and has consistently beat the top teams in the league with a bargain basement squad.

Who was your pick mate?

Frank is both perfectly qualified for the job and also his style of football is going to start bothering people immediately.

After Ange, people are just happy to have anyone. Before Ange, Frank would've been unthinkable.
Who my pick would be is irrelevant now as that thesis won't be tested anyway.

Few people would call Frank's football attractive. Players like Madders won't thrive. Son wouldn't have either as he must have realized. Who's going to step forward? So hard to see anyone. I think we'll be so underwhelmed and surprised when we realize that he won't do much better here than at Brentford.

Hopefully we do better than Brentford.

Think Wissa, Mbeumo and Daamsgard all looked like they enjoyed football last year. Think we'll enjoy not getting battered by Chelsea and Woolwich 4 games a season. Here's to hope.
