I think he drifts in a lot as most wingers tend to do these days. Seems really handy in and around the edge of the box so could likely play where he wants.
Fingers crossed he keeps pushing on. Looks like a really promising lad.

Great signing.
Clearly well liked by the squad, can hit the ground running, 6 extra matches before Xmas in the EL so will need to rotate a lot.
No involvement in the euros so can just recuperate and come back fresh.
Personally think he will outperform what he did last season.
LW sorted early. Onto the next one.
Despite the fact that Ange was very clear that the most work we needed to do in the market was to improve in the final third, Werner pretty much guarantees that we start next season with the same starting front 3 as the one we ended last season with.A lot of whether timo is depth or a starter depends on the fitness of Richarlison.
Lets be honest, he doesn't have a good injury record. Son will be moved to CF and you'll find that werner plays lots of minutes.
Don't have any faith we will bring in a top CF.
The spanner in the works here is whether Veliz stays or goes on loan. That's a lot pressure on a young kid though.
Werner behaved like a child yesterday. It was like watching the kid who doesn't like playing in the rain, with the rough boys, and would rather sit in his dad's car, with a flask of soup, and watch his team mates get soaked while struggling.
Has ability but no bottle whatsoever.
Spurs shouldn't sign him but I bet we will.
i think the wide forwards are the area that needs most attention. richy is fine if you can actually get the ball in the box. we cant even do that.I think it's a case of him being a useful player and the bigger money needing to be spent elsewhere for now. We have Son for the left wing who hardly gets injured and he can also play on the right or behind the striker. I'd rather be dropping £40m + on an area that really needs attention like a centre forward or defensive mid for now. He'll contribute through the season no doubt.
100% this. We are swapping Werner for 3 players' minutes who for various reasons are not up to it.Can't believe people are wetting the bed over us signing Werner on loan again.
He fills a gap that Solomon, Gil and Perisic ultimately couldn't do last season and one has already left and the other 2 seemingly have no future at the club for different reasons.
Werner was actually decent for us and if you go back and watch he contributed to a lot more of our goals than his 5 G/As.
How are you coming to this conclusion?Despite the fact that Ange was very clear that the most work we needed to do in the market was to improve in the final third, Werner pretty much guarantees that we start next season with the same starting front 3 as the one we ended last season with.
We will have to add this profile on the RW as sadly Son will still be our starting LW next season. Son/Werner at LW is wrapped up already.i think the wide forwards are the area that needs most attention. richy is fine if you can actually get the ball in the box. we cant even do that.
if we dont sign some quality for the wide positions then well be hoping something mad happens like bergvall takes off and maddison can play wide or something. something to give us some creativity and nous from wide. it will no doubt take a load of injuries for it to be forced on us too.
cant see how we finish above 8th if we are going into a new season with 2 forwards who cant play through sides sitting deep. not only that, but it will be one fucking frustrating watch again. a season of watching incompetent wide forwards just cause attacks to break down because they dont know what to do in tight areas.

Werner is LW cover and we haven't spent any transfer budget on him - how does this impact what we do at CF and RW?
I think right wing yes we could do with a much better all round player than Johnson there. Effectively he'll be Son cover for the left wing or to come off the bench and stretch teams and cause problems when things aren't going our way which I'm personally ok with.i think the wide forwards are the area that needs most attention. richy is fine if you can actually get the ball in the box. we cant even do that.
