But ur assuming the private chats haven't happened.

I'm assuming they have.

I agree that they probably have and he deserved being pulled up which doesn’t excuse the public outburst in front of a TV camera!

And he’s not the only one

Johnson is also a passenger but the odd goal saves him although in a game where he doesn’t score his contribution is negligible

Romero has played shite most of the season directly contributing to us losing points

Udogie the same

Bissouma has also been very poor and his wreckless challenge against the Chavs proves how irresponsible he has been

All of the aforementioned including a few more probably deserving of bollockings but again, in private!

Absolutely agree and I hope they're getting them.

I really feel the Timo situation is coming AFTER private bollockings though.

I want Romero to shut up about the board, etc when our form is in the toilet. I'd rather he concentrated on playing better.

I don't want sensitive players at the club. If they can't take feedback when they've been shit then what good are they?!

Reminds me of when everyone on here was white knighting for Bergvall cos Vic shouted at him. You'd swear Vicario completely ended his career the way some were going on.

This is Premier League football. The players are playing for one of the absolute top teams in the world (and getting paid handsomely for it). We need players who will fight and react in adversity, not players who'll sulk and cry when someone says something a little bit mean to them.

It's themselves they need to look at. Play better and the 'hurtful' comments disappear.
I agree but the reality is, the players have more power than the manager. They’re paid too much and could walk out tomorrow and find another club easily. At a club like Tottenham where the have been so many sacked managers, players know they can down tools and it will be the manager sacked and not them…

But he doesn’t help his case when saying that you shouldn’t call players out publicly and any criticism should be behind four walls etc and then three days later he does exactly that!

Players will look at each other and ask can we believe anything this cunt says?

He’s totally out of order and I’m amazed at some people trying to defend him on this!
Yeah surprised by what he did. Perhaps he’s getting rid of Werner in January and it was move to put others on notice…

Unless you think the game is being played by androids; the point still stands.....

Regardless of whether we think they're soft by old skool standards; they're still real people with real emotions and egos that have to be man-managed.
So we can never tell a player his performances aren't good enough??

And again, for clarity, I'm assuming he's been told in private many times.

You really expect a Tottenham Hotspur manager, who subbed a player at half time, after we all watched an absolute shit show of a performance from said player, to avoid a direct question about that player's performance and make up some rubbish we all know is crap just in case the player gets a bit sad about it?

I didn't say that.

I didn't say any of that either.

If you look back you will see I actually agreed with one of your initial posts on the matter...... It's just that there are ways to deal with such matters. Unfortunately, the way Ange chose in this instance paints him a) to be a liar ("I would never criticise my players in public") and b) to have picked on an easy target.

So why did he say three days before that he wouldn’t do it??

Simple question mate!
