So if mourinho can drag us to 3rd or 4th. Then it's mission accomplished for this season. Then a big summer clear out with at least 3 or 4 new players to join us. Then we go again.

Some weird things going on with football ... first half we were slow but dominated possession 60-40 bit like watching us two months ago ... second half was much quicker but the possession dropped 49-51 ... the more we made Brighton play the more space that created.

Change of personnel clearly helped and that shows the massive advantage squad depth gives ... to be able to bring on players who would walk into Brighton's starting line up (no disrespect) makes a huge difference.

Not sure what Jose learns - clearly we play better at pace but equally it seems we play better with less of the ball, we only had 49% in the 5-0 v Burnley yet we had 54% in the 2-1 loss at Utd - so just how does that work?

Great battling result, with tired legs and suspensions we will see a few changed line ups in the next 12 days, interesting times.

3rd? He ain't that good! 4th at a stretch. Lucky today and unless we improve we won't get 4th either

Our possession stats have gone down considerably since Jose took over. It's very clear that is one of his tactics.

Kane MOM, Alli got himself around and great goal, both CBs looked pretty solid, but it was the subs that made all the difference. Lo Celso looks so sharp and in sharp contrast to Moura, can actually pass.

The midfield dynamic needs serious work. The transition from defence to attack can be slow laboured and choppy, it’s very frustrating especially when we have players like Lo Celso who can make the through balls. With so many players banned for the next game, Mourinho will be forced to play a combination of Sess, NDombele, Lo Celso and/or Eriksen. Should be interesting

Fortunately apart from city & Liverpool, the rest aren't that good either. But yeah I'd take 4th now as we aren't playing well at all. Leicester, us, Chelsea, Woolwich, United & maybe wolves all fighting for the final 2 places. Very unpredictable & none you would bank on top 4.

I have something to say about VAR. If they are willing to review the passage of play for fouls by the attacking team then why can’t they review it for complete and utter dives by the attacking team in which a goal is scored from the resulting free kick? Is that too much to ask? Obligatory fuck Mike Dean.
The Mike Dean factor is blatantly obvious, it is beyond acceptable that this is allowed to occur.

Still massively struggling in midfield. Instead of passing it first time, Winks has to dribble until he’s 5 yards away to pass to his target. No one moves the ball quickly and that’s mainly down to the complete lack of movement.

Kane’s first goal was a wonderful thing to behold and was taken from us by the nit-picking VAR. When the offside rule was introduced it was never envisaged to be a matter of millimetres, but that is what it has become with VAR.
